Really poor body language here from Ryan Strome. Yes, you missed a prime scoring chance, but the puck is still in play. Cannot be feeling sorry for yourself while the play is still live. Tampa coming down on the rush and scoring immediately adds insult to injury. #FlyTogether

Pretty sure he just thought it was covered. Vasy isnt moving or reacting to the puck either and it bounced off the net so its not like it made a sound hitting the boards

If anyone still has some doubt, here it is which shows the foul was still being committed when the ball was in play! It really is poor officiating and if Spurs get relegated then I hope the club take the @FA_PGMOL to court for loss of earnings and bankrupt them!

This is such a big time play from Carter Verhaeghe along the wall. He recognizes the pressure from the Carolina defender coming along his right shoulder, and shields the puck with his body while spinning off to protect and get possession. I can't emphasize enough how big of a play this was. If we can put our players in more scenarios in practice where they have to shoulder check, recognize pressure, protect the puck and make a play, it would be a huge add for our player development. The higher the level, the faster defenders close and the quicker you have to make plays. Understanding how to see where the pressure is from and learning how to make the play under that pressure helps players develop the hockey sense needed to play at those levels. Awesome, awesome job here from Verhaeghe and a great clip to show your teams.

SCORE MORE POINTS? I feel like during the recruiting process players and parents feel this immense pressure to score points bc they know that the more points they score the better chance they have to be seen. Scoring will increase your chance of being seen/talked about. That is a fact. But how you go about it will ultimately decide your future. Sadly, too many players and parents are pushing the scoring aspect and it makes the player play selfish basketball. If you out scoring ahead of winning and doing the things necessary to win (guarding, passing, rebounding, etc.), it doesn’t matter how many points you score. Selfish players eventually end up on selfish teams or sitting the bench on good teams. Lock in, play the right way, play hard, score the crap out of it, and you’ll be good.
