Clearly, money—especially newfound wealth—cannot buy manners or respect. One solution could be raising flight fares, as many who lack the discipline for air travel seem better suited for railways. So, when an airline crew asks you to stow your phones, AirPods, and power banks in the pocket in front of you, this is why. A SwissAir flight from Zurich was forced to divert to JFK when a wireless earbuds charging case became lodged inside a passenger seat, where it was was damaged and overheated. I know we’re anal about a lot of stuff but this one is ultra-important. Power banks must not be used or charged during the flight and must be kept in the passenger seat pocket, or in hand baggage under the seat. Fires in airplanes is bad juju.
