the fact is that in relation to megs, ss, especially in this version, is still a victim. his change of heart doesn't change ss' past. it's not an easy scene, the atonement he has done for his past crimes doesn't touch ss, who has just experienced the feeling of being seen and +

has shared an infinitesimal piece of himself with someone but can't grant the same openness of heart to the one who used cruelty on him. i think he also saw some of that vulnerability that he hates in megs and i get how that might enrage him. them TALKING is the one thing missing

Its so sad, ES was this close to make a perfect ver of Starscream, victim n still held responsable for his own actions, acknowledging Megs abuse on him don't erase the bad he's done, but he still deserves to be able to close that wound

yes! honestly there still being conflict between them is realistic and valid, i don't want a disneyfied ass ending either, but starscream being able to tell megatron exactly how he feels and megatron having to live with that would have been good

So GOOD narrative, so many bad choices afterwards

I love how Starscream isn't shown to be in the wrong for rejecting Megatron; you can refuse your abuser's apology, and it doesn't make you a bad guy.

@Cigarettes_R_Us I really love EarthSpark star scream if you ignore seasons, 2 to 3 I really think he could’ve been one of the best adaptations of Star Scream same with Cyberverse I also wish that we had more conversations with him and megs I don’t expect him to make up but talk things out

I find what happened with ES Starscream very similar to what happened to Thaddeus Thawne/Inertia where it makes SENSE for them to get worse before they get better but it's clear that later writers just weren't interested in them as complex characters
