A breakthrough in real-time video generation. As a research preview developed with NVIDIA and shared at NVIDIAGTC this week, we trained a new real-time video model running on Vera Rubin. HD videos generate instantly, with time-to-first-frame under 100ms. Unlocking an entirely new creative paradigm and bolstering the foundations of our General World Model, GWM-1. Real-time generation opens a fundamentally different design space for video models and world simulation. We're investing in co-designing our models alongside advances in hardware to keep pushing this frontier.

You give the model a static scene, and it generates an immersive, infinite, explorable space as you move through it, with geometry, lighting and physics. All in real-time. You can travel to any place, real or imagined. You can become any agent, a person walking through a city, a drone flying over a snowy mountain or a robot navigating a warehouse.

First look at Starfield Free Lanes - Cruise mode that allows you to travel in the space between planets now for the first time without having to go through a loading screen. Previously, you would be in front of a planet but not be able to travel much further to explore other planets in space. Now you can free roam space and travel to whatever planet you want to. Its worth noting that you cannot land on a planet seamlessly as you still have to open your map and select where to land.

A 4 player co-op PvE indie game by a new indie studio created by Former Minecraft developers: - FPS PvE with Space Ship Combat - Seamlessly go on and off ship, into space exploration into enemy ships, the gameplay looks insanely impressive. - A variety hand crafted missions with random elements. "No two runs will be exactly the same" - Upgrade & Repir your ship - Scavenge for parts to upgrade or repair it, and adapt it to fit your needs. - Playable in both Solo and Coop - Coming to Xbox and PC (Unfortunately no PS5 release) - Demo available on Steam right now! This game looks genuinely incredible and I will definitely be trying out the demo as soon as I am free, there's a bunch of Hazelight (A Way Out, It Takes Two) developers on this as well, I really think this has the potential to be one of the biggest co-op games we've seen in a long time.

Robot policies must be both reliable and highly capable to be useful; the best way to achieve this level of performance is with reinforcement learning. However, for reinforcement learning you are usually stuck between two difficult options: reinforcement in the real world is often risky and expensive, while reinforcement learning in a traditional simulator takes a lot of engineering work and has a persistent sim-to-real gap. What if instead you could train your robot purely in a world model? RISE by Jiazhi Yang et al. uses a compositional world model to predict the future and evaluate progress. This allows for a self-improving pipeline, which learns a world model from real data and then learns how the robot should perform different tasks. This pipeline results in a data-driven way to improve policy performance from real data but without real-world reinforcement learning. We had General Intuition CEO Pim de Witte on MTS to explain what world models are, and why intuitively world models offer a clearer path towards general intelligence than LLMs. For humans, text is a technology for compressing information about the unfolding, three-dimensional world around us and communicating it to other people. When LLMs reason about the world, they do so by reconstructing the world through text. World models work by modeling the three-dimensional world at the architecture level and then allowing agents to interact with that world. Unlike an LLM, which understands space and time through text, world models perform spatial and temporal reasoning natively. General Intuition hopes to use world models to create embodied AI—machines that can reason and act in the real world. But other companies are also pushing the frontier in this space. Odyssey ML today announced a multi-agent world model, Agora-1. Their launch video shows four participants interacting with a real-time world model simulation of GoldenEye, a first-person shooter for the N64. A playable preview of the GoldenEye simulation is available on their site.

I really want to show off the cutting edge tech the team is building and how we're turning AI image generation into real living environments using gaussian splats and at the :19 mark of this video you can see how we're blending splats together to create a real world. What this looks like from a gaming perspective is this all happens behind the players view to simulate a real world environment. As you move through the space, distance becomes a variable to consider on how images update and are experienced. We are creating a new reality in real time.
