Reason #1005 why PGF is my favorite tournament…7 inning bracket games! These games are so challenging. Not many places I get to face the same P4 commit 4 times in a game. That is tough, and makes us all better. I was able to pitch a complete game for...

Ten games into my senior year at Mississippi State — about a month into the season — and I still hadn’t pitched. The previous year, I logged only 4 innings. I spent the entire fall and most of the spring preseason dealing with an injury, and quiet frankly walking on thin ice on even staying on the team, if you’re not able to be productive in any way you’re gone, that’s how the SEC works, & I knew everything would have to go perfectly for me to even have a shot. This is something young players at any level should pay attention to: what to do when you’re not playing much — and how to handle it. During that time, I worked relentlessly. Every day, I prepared like my opportunity was coming tomorrow. I knew that when my name was called, I needed to be ready — not just ready to pitch, but ready to prove I belonged in the SEC. Then it happened. We were up 19–2 at Tulane in the 9th inning. They told me to get hot. I treated it like Game 7 of the World Series. I went out there, went 3 up, 3 down, 3 strikeouts. My stuff was sharp. After the game, Coach made a comment in the team meeting about how locked in I looked. He noticed. And that was all I needed. Fast forward 24 hours — we’re in a 4–4 game in the 7th, bases loaded, two outs. He puts me in. Surprised? Maybe others were. I wasn’t. I had been preparing for this moment for two years. I got to a 1-2 count and I got a flyout to right. From that point on, I went on to lead the team in ERA and appearances out of the bullpen. It became the best season of my career. The takeaway: always be ready. You don’t know when your shot will come. But when it does, you can’t afford to be surprised. You’ve got to be prepared — mentally, physically, emotionally — like it’s the opportunity you’ve been waiting your whole life for. If I hadn’t been locked in during that 19–2 game and shown Coach what it meant to me, I may have never gotten another chance. Make the most of yours. If you’re not there yet, don’t give up. Keep showing up. Stay ready. Your moment’s coming. I’ll attach a few clips of the game that changed my career.

TeamSESH is dq'd from Challenger Series after qualifying for the event Q4 Game 1 enemy team protests for Kixa's moss based on the attached video as "proof of cheating". One of the guys on the other team admitted to us in dms that the protest was just cuz they were mad they lost. Head admin pauses our next game and makes us open a ticket; he requests moss from each of us. None of us had it for this first game because we agreed with the other team to not run it prior to the game (aforementioned player who dm'd Kixa was his friend). He then requests moss from all of us from our entire qual. I did not run moss on every game, given some games were against ppl I have played a thousand times and did not feel the need. Regardless this disqualification was from me not running moss for this qualifier. The admins did not care that we had provided dozens of previous moss files from our recent win in XGS and OCS. I understand that they felt they must make this ruling in order to stay in line with their rule book. I still feel that the way in which this was conducted was not within their own rule book given scrupulous evidence and requiring us all to provide moss for the report of one player. Regardless, I was in the wrong for not running it and have to accept that I costed my teams ability to show how hard we worked for this. Everyone with half a brain knows that we do not cheat. Major apologies to everyone that was waiting to see what we could do. We appreciate your support and we will not let a mistake define who we are.

FNC Boaster: “These events are, as you can probably imagine, quite tiring. We go from the upper bracket into three games in a row for the final days. That, on top of lots of media, lots of features, lots of just random stuff that we do. Not to mention the fact that when we go into our games, there’s a lot of adrenaline. After every game, my body aches and my head hurts, and then we have to somehow get to sleep, and then we’ve got to wake up early and stuff. So there’s loads of factors into this. It’s not just simply, you go in and you play. And I think we started slow today, especially on Corrode and Lotus. A big map was Lotus for us, and we weren’t able to, just everything wasn’t going our way. The Odin was completely annihilating us. Then when we got to Abyss, we were like, ‘This is the last chance.’ And I felt very confident that we could win this one, because I felt like I knew everything they did on the attack side. And then, what were we like 1–11 down or something? I was like, ‘Oh bloody hell, this one’s going to be a tough one, isn’t it?’ We managed to do it, and then I was like, ‘Holy guacamole, the dream is alive!’ And it felt amazing, hearing the crowd and being able to just do that, because it would’ve been so disappointing of a final to just bomb out there. But in the FNATIC way, we fight back. Ascent, we’re starting to feel the kind of momentum. And then it gets to Sunset, a map that was the one kind of perma-ban we had, but we had some stuff on it. Unfortunately, it was just the crucial map for us to get the win, and some of the rounds just didn’t go our way, and that’s how VALORANT goes, you know. It felt like the rounds that we needed to win, we lost, and then they had an ultimate the next round, and that’s how brutal it is on defense. If we had just been able to win one of those rounds, like the bonus round, holy guacamole, we would’ve been loving life. And it was the difference of like a 1v1 in the end. So yeah, I mean, we tried our best. That’s why I’m not that [sad]. I am sad, obviously, but I’m not like how I was in Toronto, because I felt like we pushed, we tried our best, and I’m very happy with the boys. It would’ve been nice to win, but there’s only one winner, so it’s just a blessing to compete instead.” #VALORANTChampions via Pedro Romero

Yesterday I received some devastating news. Unfortunately, my name wasn’t added to Fury’s roster in time, so I won’t be able to compete in the Alliance National Championship. I’ve trained five hours a day since Colorado preparing for this tournament. I haven’t felt this good on the mound or at the plate in a long time, which makes this especially heartbreaking. Missing the biggest recruiting tournament of the year is tough to accept. But I know God never gives me more than I can handle, and I trust that He is in control, even when I don’t understand the plan. This setback doesn’t define me, and it certainly won’t stop me. I was able to pick up this weekend and compete in the 18U PGF Super 7. Over three games, I pitched 11 innings, recorded 23 strikeouts, and was reminded that all the hard work is paying off. This chapter isn’t the one I wanted, but my story isn’t over. I’ll keep working, keep believing, and keep proving that my best softball is still ahead of me. The dream hasn’t changed, it just took an unexpected detour. Here are some of my strikeouts this weekend. One criticism I always see towards games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Grand Theft Auto VI recently is the topic of small details. "Why does a game need so many details, it doesn't make the experience any better and takes longer to develop" While I do agree with the fact that Rockstar Games development schedules in between each release keep getting longer, the fact is that when you aim for such a high level of realism in a video-game, its not about graphics anymore, its about immersion. I'm sure that if you played RDR2, you know that your horse sweating or its balls shrinking in the cold don't add much to the gameplay itself, but it makes the game feel like its real. This is precisely what sets apart Rockstar Games from other game studios, the level of immersion you get in those games is unbeaten. RDR2, a game designed for the PS4 console has a level of fluidity and immersion that I have yet to see in a video-game from any other game studio, each game mechanic seems to work flawlessly that it feels like a living and breathing open world game. Hell, sometimes you feel bad for shooting an NPC which never happened to me in a video-game before. When you're playing it, hours can go by and you don't even. In other open-world games, sometimes you can notice limitations, for example the same NPCs appearing in one object or the same scripted conversations. RDR2 manages to make that gap of a video-game and reality feel thinner, not get rid of it entirely of course. Making such a massive game filled with tons of details means that it can be can be played for multiple years after its release and not feel outdated. Its not all about details of course, when a game takes so long to develop, the stakes get higher each time and Rockstar Games has to make sure that they deliver on the story that is being told too, hence the reason why their games have always been historically good in terms of writing. Now to address the elephant int he room, the main issue is that as the complexity increases for each new release and optimizing all of these systems to work in tandem, the development time increases and we get longer periods of waiting. Is all of this worth it? In my opinion, yes. Its Rockstar Games after all, they have the budget necessary and the talent to achieve this kind of feat. Not only does it raise the bar for what is possible to do in a video-game, but it also is highly rewarding when you play the game for the first time and its unlike anything you've seen these past couple of years. When I finished playing Red Dead Redemption 2 for the first time, every new game that came out felt outdated for me. Just as technology keeps going forward, the same applies here with open world games too. What are your thoughts on this topic?

Mark Cuban reveals how he rebuilt the Dallas Mavericks “I paid $285,000,000 for the Dallas Mavericks” “I went to opening night of the 1999–2000 season, first game of the year and it wasn’t sold out. The energy wasn’t in the building. I looked around thinking, I can do a better job than this” “Then I realized I can put my money where my mouth is. This was early November. By January 4th, I owned the Dallas Mavericks” “When I took over the Mavs, I didn’t get a big office. We had a sales bullpen called the Fishbowl with eight or nine salespeople” “I put my desk right in the middle of them. I put a phone book and a computer print out of all of our former customers and started dialing trying to sell Mavericks tickets” “I said, ‘Ma’am, I know you have been to a Mavericks game before but you realize now that it is less expensive to come to a Mavericks game than to take your family to McDonald’s. Our tickets start at $8 and McDonald’s and a coke is more than that. Why don’t you come and try us out? First game is free on me’” “I wanted everybody that worked with me to see that if I asked them to do it, I will do it. Same thing I do with people in the front office I did with players on the court” “We moved into a new arena. I wanted them to feel good about going to work. We put in PlayStations, we put in TV screens” “Now to this day we upgraded it so that we had aromas because different aromas impact you more before a game when you are trying to get hyped versus after the game” “Light impacts you more. All these things that try to give our players an edge to help us win but to also help them succeed” “If you are running a company and if you can align your interests with those of the people you work with, things are going to work for you”

Drew recapping his game/F4 decision: "And that's when we come down to why I saved Devens over Dee, and that's because Devens for sure would've taken me and Taylor needs to take me if she wants to win this game or have a chance at winning this game..." "...And also I get to claim that I saved another Icon. I have been such a good ally to the Icons. I saved Angela with the safety zone, I saved Dee during the Double Eviction, and I carried Devens to the Top 3, beating his Survivor record..." "...So, I don't know if that's enough to beat Devens, but I want to say it's enough to beat Taylor in the end because I've been playing this game since Day 1, hard. And is it more impressive for someone on their third try at reality shows to get to the end, or is it impressive for a 22-year-old kid to do it on his first try?..." "...We'll have the jury decide that, but that's the rough draft of my speech. What do you guys think?" *stares at the camera for an uncomfortable amount of time* "But most importantly, I had fun the whole time!...I promise, I might have a speech that could beat him, let's see. I didn't even need to use a $5k bribe or a Diamond Power of Veto and I got three pretty big threats out of this game. And I positioned myself to hopefully be in those Final 2 chairs, and that's all you can ask, then it's up to the jury. Let's see if I can persuade a jury. I persuaded Yash to quit after 13.5 hours, let's see if I can persuade at least 4 people to vote for me to win." (Part 7 of 7) #BB28 #BBBitez

💙: Hello, this is Yejun 💙: And just like that, we’ve finished our 2nd show too 💙: Before a concert, I always think to myself, “Ahh today’s going to be tough too, I really need to fill this day completely with energy… I need to pour everything I have into it, can I really do this?” 💙: I honestly think that at least once before every show but once I’m actually on stage, 3 hours, 2 and a half hours, even 2 hours feel like just 2 minutes, I genuinely don’t even realize a whole song has passed 💙: That’s how much fun I’m having and I feel so incredibly loved that time just seems to fly by 💙: And I think the reason for that is because all of our PLLIs right here in front of us love us so so much, I want to thank you all once again, thank you 💙: And also this year we released an album, did livestreams, prepared for concerts and just… did so many things 💙: To be honest we’ve been living pretty hectic lives but I can say this now because I’m talking to PLLIs right? It really was hectic, we barely had any days off 💙: Even when we did have a day off, it was usually because we’d look at the schedule and think, “We’ll probably have something 3 days from now” or “We’ll probably have something after this” so we’d squeeze in a day off here and there 💙: Other than that, I feel like we barely had any real time to rest 💙: I think all of us including me, were pretty exhausted… really exhausted, but even so, whenever we thought about our concerts, we’d tell ourselves, “We have to raise PLLI’s spirit, we have to keep PLLI’s energy up, we have to show PLLI our coolest side” 💙: We kept telling ourselves that and holding on, pushing through everything so I really want to tell all of our members that they worked so hard, you guys worked so so hard 💙: Honestly you guys are amazing 💙: There were times when I was really tired and exhausted and I’ll be honest, I did think, “This is a little hard” but when we receive this kind of overwhelming love through our concerts, all those feelings of exhaustion just completely wash away seriously 💙: And by doing these concerts, by performing together like this, we get to hear once again that our 5 members and our PLLIs have become one 💙: And it makes me think, “Thank you, we did well, we worked hard” 💙: So what I want to say is this, as long as we have our PLLIs… 💙: We’ll run anywhere for you~~~!!! 💙: Let’s go!!! Let’s do this!!! I love you!!!

For as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamed of playing softball at the next level. Today, that dream is becoming a reality, and my heart is filled with so much gratitude. I know it didn’t happen by accident. Through every high, every low, every setback, and every answered prayer, God was preparing me for this moment. I trust His plan, His timing, and the purpose He has for my life, knowing that His plans are always greater than anything I could have imagined. I’m beyond blessed and incredibly emotional to announce that I have committed to Florida State University to continue my academic and softball career! This moment means so much more than just a commitment. It represents years of work, sacrifice, perseverance, and faith. It represents the people who believed in me when I didn’t always believe in myself. Most importantly, it reminds me that God has been working behind the scenes the entire time. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11 This school and this softball program have been on my heart for a very long time. It has always been my dream, and I truly believe God placed this opportunity in front of me because He knew it was the right choice for me. I’m so thankful for my family, coaches, teammates, friends, and everyone who has supported me, prayed for me, pushed me, and stood by me throughout this journey. I wouldn’t be here without you. To Coacha, T-Cam, T-Will, and Coach Rafter: Thank you for taking a chance on me, believing in me, and seeing the potential in me to contribute to your program. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of something bigger than myself, and I can’t wait to give everything I have to this team. To Coach Jason: Thank you for believing in me, creating opportunities for me, making the calls, promoting me to coaches, and pushing me to become a better player and person. This journey wouldn’t have been possible without you. To Coach Roger : Thank you for instilling confidence in me and all the words of wisdom when I needed it the most. You have been a huge supporter from the first day we meet and I am so grateful. To my family, especially my dad: Thank you for every sacrifice, the early mornings, late nights, practices, long drives, tournaments, and tough conversations. Thank you for holding me accountable, staying consistent when things were hard, and giving up so much of your own time to help me chase this dream. You have always believed in me and helped shape the person and player I am today. I could never thank you enough. Most importantly, thank You, God, for leading me here, being with me every step of the way, and giving me a dream worth chasing. When I couldn’t see where the path was leading, You did. This is only the beginning. I’m ready to work, ready to learn, ready to grow, and ready to give everything I have to this next chapter. When God writes the story, you don’t have to worry about the ending. Victor Wembanyama was asked in French about his pregame outfit, playing in big games, how he feels physically, and what he thought of Harper’s game: 🇫🇷: Victor, I know it’s still very fresh right now, but are you able to take a step back and realize the journey you’ve already made to get here? 👽: No, not at all. And I really don’t want to. 🇫🇷: Victor, we saw you giving a big speech to your teammates on the court right before the game started. What was the message? 👽: I don’t remember. 🇫🇷: And emotionally, before this game—it was your first elimination game in the playoffs. Did the approach remind you of other big games you’ve experienced before? 👽: Of course. It reminded me of a lot of them, at every level. Because today, winning in the NBA means just as much to me as winning back when I was playing at the middle-school level or in regional competitions! (laughs) Competitiveness has always been the same for me. 🇫🇷: Victor, how do you feel physically after these six games heading into Game 7? And do you learn in a series like this that there are going to be physical ups and downs that you have to manage? 👽: There’s definitely some of that. But I also think there’s a sort of numbness, because right now the desire to win is stronger than the pain. So honestly, I’d say I feel great! 🇫🇷: I’ve got a quick question about your outfit before the game—was it a little nod to monks? Was it for Eid? And what did you think of Dylan Harper’s game, and of his ability to constantly drive and stay aggressive attacking the rim? 👽: Those are two completely unrelated questions. (laughs) No, it had nothing to do with monks—yeah, it was for Eid. And as for Dylan, he’s impressive as always. You never really know what a player is going to look like until they’ve gone through games like this, and it’s great to see that he’s built for it.
