It's not something to be proud about.Native Hindi speaker hardly make any effort to learn other Language.If your state and region is under developed due to your regional leaders than you migrate to other part in country and cannot expect them to adjust to your demands.

Two things - first hand experience..I can literally say to people to switch to Hindi in case they talk to me in Gujarati and they will switch without an iota of issue. Secondly, Gujarat has only one language - which is business..that's why they are number 1
