This. It is often the reason money newbs hate money or any notion of becoming cash flow positive. You'll witness them claim to not have any money for savings (also called investments), but then waste what little they earn on vices, luxuries, gifts, and conveniences. People would rather lie to themselves then do the hard work of changing their lives for the better. Hard work takes time, effort, and diligence. Anyone can do it, many won't. It's actuallly quite simple, spend less than you earn, always. Savings will build up and can be deployed towards higher yielding investments. Avoid spending savings on anything that doesn't make money. In the rare case of buying a car, buy a used one, in cash, and maintain it for as long as possible. You don't deserve anything, YOLO is a retarded way to rationalize bad stewardship, doesn't retiring sound better than working till you die and leaving your children no more help than you received?
