@polypearIs all these shows are multiple years old and have already ended, most of them received incredibly well, and the art style was not in fact brought on my steven universe. it was just the art style a lot of artists/cartoonists had at the time, which has since slowly faded.

Writing has gone so downhill because networks are scared, but it's literally the shows I hear that pushed boundaries that were the most beloved. I dont understand how Hollywood hasn't caught on yet

People can say the show and movies were trash dadadada da whatever tf. But you cannot take away from the fact that it played a major role in the film industry w/helping to push out queer relationships (healthy or unhealthy) in mainstream media of today.

this reminds me of something artists say about dark skinned characters. You give the network the character concept with the darkest skin possible, so after every time they tell you to make the skin lighter, they might still be brown
