Laurence Fox: Defending Freedom of Speech Against Censorship At the Unite The Kingdom Freedom of Speech rally, Laurence Fox delivered a passionate speech on the state of free expression in Britain. He exposed the dangers of political censorship, cancel culture, and media manipulation, while calling on the people to reclaim their right to speak the truth without fear. This powerful address reminds us why freedom of speech is the foundation of every other liberty — and why it must be defended at all costs. 📍Strasbourg Just delivered a speech at the PACE General Assembly addressing the pressing issue of far-right extremism's impact on democracy and human rights in Europe. In Europe, Muslims have been subjected to hate speech, attacks and insults to their sacred values, such as attacks on mosques and in Denmark, Sweden and Netherlands, we witness increasingly spreading Quran burning incidents. We all must unite in condemning and rejecting such discriminatory practices. These are clear examples of anti-Muslim racism, xenophobia, and far-right extremism. This is not freedom of expression. 🚨 ELON MUSK: “You can tell which side is the good side and which side is the bad side by which side wishes to restrict freedom of speech. The side that is restricting freedom of speech (the Hitlers, Stalins, and Mussolinis of the world) had very strong censorship on freedom of speech. That’s one of the signs that they are the bad guys. Restriction on speech and large government is fundamentally fascist. Ironically, in pushing for censorship, it makes it clear that the left is the side that is against freedom; and freedom of speech is one of the many freedoms we should have as a civil society. Idea should win on the strength of their arguments. They should not win because they are suppressed.”

Talarico: It should be troubling to all of us, regardless of our political affiliations or our political beliefs, that the most powerful people in the country, the most powerful politicians and the most powerful corporate executives are working together to sell out the first amendment, to sell out our freedom of speech in order to protect their own power and their own wealth. And that should be concerning to all of us, whether you're a Democrat or a Republican, whether you're a Progressive or Conservative, because an attack on any one of our first amendment rights is an attack on all of our first amendment rights.

Here is a question for all of you: Do you believe we should be making it easier for our government to prosecute and jail Canadians based not on their actions – but on their words? To criminalize speech and prosecute those for expressing sincerely held religious beliefs? For me, the answer will always be no. Free speech, free expression and freedom of religion are foundational principles upon which our nation, and Western civilization, is built. I will always defend these fundamental Charter rights. My full speech opposing the Liberal censorship bill, C-9.

At the Gotham Awards in New York, Robert De Niro found out that part of his speech was edited, allegedly by Apple and those behind the Awards ceremony. Regardless, he still gave the speech the way he wanted, and it was not kind to Trump, MAGA, or racists. Free speech is important. Apple should be ashamed of themselves for trying to take De Niro’s free speech away.
