NASA ARTEMIS II MISSION UPDATE: DAY 7 The crew and the Orion spacecraft are approximately 57,157 km (35,518 mi) from the Moon. They are also about 380,631 km (236,512 mi) from Earth and are traveling at around 2,029 km/h (1,261 mph). The mission is currently 62.3% completed. Yesterday was a very big day for the mission as this culminated in the Lunar Flyby, which included the closest approach to the Moon at a distance of 4,067 km (6,545 mi), occurring at 11:02 UTC (MET+5/00:25). Following this, a record was set for the furthest distance humans had ever traveled from Earth, at a distance of 406,771 km (252,756 mi), which occurred at 23:02 UTC (MET+5/00:27). The crew also witnessed an Earthrise and solar eclipse during this time, before the lunar observation period concluded. Moving on to today's expected events, first up we have the crew wakeup, which is expected to occur at 15:35 UTC (MET+5/17:00). On this day, at approximately 08:09:05 UTC, Air India Flight AI171, a Boeing 787-8 (VT-ANB) bound for London Gatwick, crashed shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad on June 12, 2025. The aircraft struck a student hostel just 32 seconds after liftoff. According to the preliminary report, the Engine 1 and Engine 2 fuel cutoff switches transitioned from RUN to CUTOFF one second apart. Major Recovery of Arms and Ammunition by Manipur Police, Assam Rifles/ Army and other Security Forces. From the midnight of 3rd July 2025 to the morning of 4th July 2025, Security Forces (SFs) conducted extensive search operations in the hill districts of Manipur. On This Day: The fall of the Valkyrie June 9 1966: The 2nd prototype of the North American XB-70 Valkyrie [62-02070] collides with an F-104 Starfighter over California (US). Of the three aboard both planes, only the XB-70´s pilot survives, with his co-pilot and the fighter pilot perishing. Incident occurred during a photoshoot while in close formation. Enquiry stated the F-104´s pilot was in a position where he was unable to safely distance from XB-70 (more details from the ASN Entry below) The XB-70 was a Mach 3 bomber developed in the 50s. Developments in missile technology made the concept obsolete, leading to its cancellation in 1961. At the time of the crash, the two prototypes that had been built were being used for research. The USAF summary report of the accident investigation stated that, given the position of the F-104 relative to the XB-70, the F-104 pilot would not have been able to see the XB-70's wing, except by uncomfortably looking back over his left shoulder. The report said that Walker, piloting the F-104, likely maintained his position by looking at the fuselage of the XB-70, forward of his position. The F-104 was estimated to be 70 ft (21 m) to the side of, and 10 ft (3 m) below, the fuselage of the XB-70. The report concluded that from that position, without appropriate sight cues, Walker was unable to properly perceive his motion relative to the Valkyrie, leading to his aircraft drifting into contact with the XB-70's wing”

(On subpoenas) Norman: "That has to come from a chair of a committee, James Comer is chair of oversight. He signed our letter." (On hearings) Norman: "Yes, and we're going to lead the way on that because at the HFSC, that's our job!" 7/10/24: No subpoenas, no hearing (even thought Norman says "We've had hearings on this." (In his interview with Dan Ball) "It's in the SEC's hands." But for eight years, that original idea held a special place in our hearts. Terrariums are a nod to that original dream. We're hard at work and our goal is to deliver the first version in late June. Here's how they'll work on day one: 1. You activate a plot of land. 2. You put your axies on it. 3. Every hour, the world ticks forward on its own. While you're away, your land is working. 4. It earns a reward called bAXS, the in-game currency that feeds back into the broader Axie economy. 5. To stay running, your land burns a fuel called Lunium. You get it two ways: buy packs, or let your land generate it slowly for free. 6. How much you earn scales with your axie power, a stat currently called Atia's Flame. Stronger (collectible) axies earn more points. More points means a bigger share of the prize pool. 7. Each land type has its own pool, split between everyone who owns that type. 8. Steven appeared in 38 games for Boston during the 2010-11 campaign as he and the Bruins went on to hoist Lord Stanley’s Cup on June 15, 2011. Steven played 113 regular-season games for Boston before joining the Minnesota Wild ahead of the 2012 trade deadline. He remained with the Wild franchise until 2014, signing with the New York Rangers in July before ultimately joining the Florida Panthers for the 2014-15 season. After his time in Florida and a return to New York, Steven rejoined the Bruins from 2018-21.
