Why do I believe Adam Silver should step down as the NBA commissioner of the league immediately? Here’s why: The #NBA is tied to gambling because the league made business deals with sportsbooks and built gambling into the game broadcasts. It’s not just fans betting anymore, the league profits from it. Once you take gambling money, you’re responsible for the fallout that comes with it. So when scandals happen, you can’t act surprised. You can’t promote betting for years and then pretend you had nothing to do with it. That’s why I believe Adam Silver should step down, not out of hate, but because leadership means owning the consequences of your decisions. Fans watch basketball because they trust the game is real. If that trust is damaged, the person running the league has to be held accountable. If the money starts feeling bigger than the sport, then it’s time for new leadership that puts the game first.
