Three-time PGA TOUR winner Scott Stallings recently stepped away from competitive golf due to injury, but he's staying closely involved with the game through the Tennessee Golf Foundation and Kids Play Free. *AND* he still finds time to heckle Tennessee Golf alum Bryce Lewis, who carded a third-round 64 at the Visit Knoxville Open to charge into Sunday's final grouping in his college town. Needless to say, it's a town of which Lewis is quite familiar 😉

"A couple years ago I was conditional, no starts, and it's just a bit chaotic," Atkins said. Atkins is intrigued for the TOUR's newly announced competitive framework, effective in 2028, as players on the PGA TOUR Challenger Series fight to punch up to the PGA TOUR Championship Series. He thinks the defined playing schedule for pros will improve the product as well. "I think it's a big win for fans of golf," Atkins said. "It will be a lot easier to understand."

Blades Brown turned 19 just last week and as an incredible birthday present he shot rounds of 66, 68, 65 and 67 to finish T14 at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson and secure enough non member Fed Ex Cup points for special temporary PGA Tour membership. After the round he spoke about his future, how vindicated he feels in his decision to turn pro instead of going to college, and how the Korn Ferry Tour aided his development: “I mean, good golf takes care of everything. The Korn Ferry Tour is awesome. For me, what it's done for me is it's provided me a pathway to the PGA Tour. “The cool thing that I think it's done is it's taught me to go low. I can't thank the Korn Ferry Tour enough for teaching me those valuable lessons because everybody out on the PGA Tour, they can go low. Look at Wyndham, look at Scottie, look at Si Woo. 28-under, 27-under is not joke. Without the Korn Ferry Tour, I would not have had that strength. “I'm excited for the next couple of weeks and see what's going to happen.” He also said he achieved PGA Tour membership faster than he expected, and spoke about how vindicated he feels: “Yeah, absolutely. I know my route to the PGA Tour is a very uncommon route. It's mainly because of my parents. They've been my biggest supporters. They've sacrificed so much, especially my dad. He's been -- I think he's missed about two events in my entire life, and he believed in me whenever I didn't believe in myself. “It's been pretty cool, and I'm really happy with the decision I made to turn pro.” Blades is a fantastic example of why the PGA Tour’s pathways are so important to develop and progress the careers of young players.
