If someone clips me that would be so awful . I truly hate when people make content so I don't have t- I mean...clip me without my knowledge 😔
Not every VTuber is about "Reach". and "Maximum profit" Some VTuber like me want to just enjoy my time on my livestream with my community. I even turned off public clips in my channel and most vod´s are turned off. As clipper you should always look if a VTuber is ok that there content is used. Never say to someone "But you get reach". If someone says NO to be clipped you have to accept it delete all clips and move on. You shouldn´t have them in the first place if you did not got the consent. Consent is importent.
Yeah, only like 99% of them. If you turn off clips and vods, then yeah, you won't get clipped. It's unrealistic to expect every clipper to ask every vtuber before clipping them. That's not how it's ever been in vtubing and if you think that, I'm sorry but you must be pretty new here. If they ask you not to or to take it down after, then yes, obviously you listen. This is an ABSURDLY RARE instance.
Stream since 3 Years and yeah sadly it is not like that, because it is not allowed to do and you risk always as cliper a lawsuit if you are unlucky. I have to ask so often people to take my stuff down it´s annyoing.

The only times clips are bad if something happens by mistake such as a face reveal / self dox or whatever. Other than that as long as you credit the creator/vtuber most would love to have someone clip them

There was a saying, "In showbiz, there's no such thing as bad press." That's not as airtight as it was in the 1940s. But for streamers, unless you did something off the charts ugly, "There are no bad clips."
As a former clipper I would be hypocritical to belive other wise.But I also heard that some girls like bad girls… So if they ask, I hate clippers!! But to all others you’re free to clip me I love when I get clipped! ❤️😜

Some streamers, like Bao for example, have a 24 hour restriction on clips, that I think works really well. But also, some clippers are actually very disrespectful to the intimacy of streamers and go against their wishes. The streamer should be able to stop them somehow.
Yeah, I just think setting any restrictions will usually just deter most clippers from even trying. Not a lot of clippers want to or will see any of those rules, so they will probably just not bother.
You know, Numi did something where she simply called out the bad actors and highlighted the ones she considers good “clippers.” Mouse did something similar. That should be enough, but people keep watching those clippers anyway. idk
Yeah, the bad actors wont stop if you ask, the nice ones aren't usually clipping in bad faith, so it's a tough situation there. But also, those clippers were like straight up lying and like AI clip farming or whatever. I'm talking about clippers who actually enjoy the content for real.
In those cases I see it as a win win, it's good for everybody

Don't think newer VTubers realize how much clipping made VTubing grow. I doubt Hololive would have grown as fast as they did without the clippers & translators sharing them globally
Imo the easiest thing to do is just put it in their stream rules to not clip them and that if you do you'll be asked to take the clip down in the future. Personally think it's fair to not want to be clipped, but its daft to expect people to not do it with no prior heads up.

It's a fun topic, does fair use work, nope. Can you argue you have an "implied licence" yes, if streamer allows other (non paid) clippers.ContentID, too big for 99% of streamers without agency. DMCA can get you bad rep fast. Best way is having paid or rev share clippers honestly.
