UN Human Rights Body Became Democrats Tool for Regime Change - UNHRC Commissioner Volker Türk’s Admission ---- UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Türk, openly admitted that he personally warned (or rather, threatened) the Bangladesh Military—with UN peacekeeping mission—not to assist the government in handling the chaos and violence in July. In his own words, "he warned them not to get involved with the situation.” This interference came at a critical moment when the government imposed a curfew on July 18 to restore law and order. As a result, the civil administration was left to tackle the mayhem, riot, chaos and instability all alone, without military support. The primary responsibility of any armed force is to assist the government in maintaining peace and stability when the situation spirals out of control. Yet, Türk’s warning actively discouraged that duty. It is also important to note that most of the casualties occurred between July 19 and July 24. Had the military been allowed to act, could many of these deaths have been prevented. Türk’s statement makes it clear: The UNHCR was not a neutral body in this crisis. By instigating the army to defy its own government, the UNHCR became a complicit actor in the events that led to these casualties. #Bangladesh #BangladeshCrisis #VolkerTurk #UN #UnitedNations #UNHRC #OHCHR #QuotaMovement Volker Türk UN Human Rights Council UN Human Rights Council UN Human Rights European Union in Bangladesh U.S. Embassy Dhaka India in Bangladesh Randhir Jaiswal Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs (SCA) Assistant Secretary Riley Barnes Department of State Office of International Religious Freedom Donald J. Video shows a senior citizen who happened to be a war hero has been assaulted by dozens of activists of BNP in response to a public call by Chief Adviser of the Government of Bangladesh led regime to bar #AwamiLeague activists from exercising their peaceful #assembly in the capital. Dr Yunus’s authoritization and impunity for these acts of #terrorism can not drive #Bangladesh to the path of progress and prosperity. We appeal countrymen to stand with Awami League in solidarity against Muhammad Yunus's bid to destroy the country with #violence. No Right to Peaceful Assembly in Bangladesh: Video Shows Mob Violence Against Dissenters With Police Complicity An "anti-fascist" mob of regime supporters violently assaulted an unarmed dissenter in front of police, who stood by under direct orders from Dr. Yunus’s office to prevent citizens affiliated with #AwamiLeague from holding a peaceful rally. This rally, organized by Awami League, aimed to commemorate Nur Hossain Day, honoring a historic figure who sacrificed his life to resist military rule. It was also a peaceful call for justice against recent targeted violence and murders impacting Awami League supporters over the last three months. #WeWantJustice #Bangladesh #BangladeshCrisis #SaveBangladesh #MassArrests #AwamiLeague #BangladeshUnderFascism #Trump #DonaldTrump UN Human Rights UN in Bangladesh Volker Türk FIDH U.S. Embassy Dhaka International Human Rights Foundation Alex Gray Michael Kugelman Human Rights at FCDO @RFKHumanRights Assistant Secretary Riley Barnes Sarah Cooke Chris Blackburn Sajeeb Wazed European External Action Service - EEAS 🇪🇺 Susan Ryle Canada in Bangladesh European Union in Bangladesh Kerry Kennedy BBC News Bangla Irene Khan Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office Mary Lawlor Prothom Alo meenakshi ganguly Amnesty International Human Rights Watch Ministry of Foreign Affairs FORUM-ASIA Amnesty Internationalsasia UN Human Rights Asia ICJ - Asia and the Pacific International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention Mujib Mashal Mahfuz Anam The Daily Star Chief Adviser of the Government of Bangladesh CIJ_ICJ Dr. Brahma Chellaney Mary Lawlor International Center for Law and Religion Studies Donald J. A protest against the attack on minorities across the country: Cheragi Circle at Chattogram --- Listen the voices from the Hindu in #Bangladesh. It's the real scenerio here, not what Chief Adviser of the Government of Bangladesh and the controlled media is saying. "If the army can hand over a Hindu (Utsab) boy at the hands of mob, then why the same army come to defend those who throw water and brick chips on us. Why so hypocritical stance? It seems they have freedom to frame us on charges of hurting their sentiments arbitrarily but we don’t have any right to get justice when they (Islamists) attack us for our religion. Don’t we deserve equal rights? Journalists are censoring our voices. What we should call them? Why #civilsociety members and #humanrights defenders keeping mum? Why they are turning a blind eye when minorities are attacked everyday?" #BangladeshCrisis #SaveBangladesh #SaveBangladeshiHindus UN Human Rights UN in Bangladesh Amnesty International Human Rights Watch Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sajeeb Wazed Volker Türk Assistant Secretary Riley Barnes UN Human Rights Asia FIDH European Union in Bangladesh U.S. Embassy Dhaka International Human Rights Foundation UN Special Procedures SiteIntelHub Alex Gray Republic Michael Kugelman CPJ Asia Committee to Protect Journalists Journalists for Human Rights (JHR) UN Human Rights Human Rights at FCDO @RFKHumanRights Assistant Secretary Riley Barnes VOA বাংলা Suhasini Haidar barkha dutt Palki Sharma Sarah Cooke Canada in Bangladesh Chris Blackburn European External Action Service - EEAS 🇪🇺 Nadine Maenza UNSR on freedom of religion or belief Elbridge Colby Amnesty International

Under the rein of Muhammad Yunus, for their political belief women activists are harassed and assaulted by scores of Bangladesh Nationalist Party-BNP activists in broad daylight with cops were found guarding perpetrators of #violence. The female activists of #AwmaiLeague endured these horrific attacks as they sought to exercise their freedom of assembly in solidarity with call by Awami League to attend a rally against rights abuses under Chief Adviser of the Government of Bangladesh led regime. No freedom of assembly for dissenters in Bangladesh, Video captures state patronage for mob violence on dissenters under Dr Yunus's reign Describing themselves anti-fascist, an unruly mob, comprised of supporters of the unelected and illegal regime, swooped on an unarmed dissenter and assaulted him with impunity in presence of police, in compliance with order from Dr Yunus’s office to stop citizens affiliated with #AwamiLeague from holding a peaceful rally. The mob took to the street to thwart a rally announced by Awami League to commemorate a historic day when a youth Nur Hossain sacrificed his life in fight to bring down a military ruler decades back. The rally has been announced as a peaceful protest against ongoing crimes against humanity including murder against citizens affiliated with Awami League for past three months. #WeWantJustice #Bangaldesh #BangaldeshCrisis #SaveBangaldesh #MassArrests #AwamiLeague #BangladeshUnderFascism UN Human Rights UN in Bangladesh Volker Türk FIDH U.S. Embassy Dhaka International Human Rights Foundation Alex Gray Michael Kugelman Human Rights at FCDO @RFKHumanRights Assistant Secretary Riley Barnes Sarah Cooke Chris Blackburn Sajeeb Wazed European External Action Service - EEAS 🇪🇺 Susan Ryle Canada in Bangladesh European Union in Bangladesh Kerry Kennedy BBC News Bangla Irene Khan Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office Mary Lawlor Prothom Alo meenakshi ganguly Amnesty International Human Rights Watch Ministry of Foreign Affairs FORUM-ASIA Amnesty Internationalsasia UN Human Rights Asia ICJ - Asia and the Pacific International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention Mujib Mashal Mahfuz Anam The Daily Star Chief Adviser of the Government of Bangladesh CIJ_ICJ Dr. Brahma Chellaney Mary Lawlor International Center for Law and Religion Studies Donald J. How a female student league activist attacked by BNP’s student front leaders in exam hall - Police and army obliged attackers and attacked student unlawfully detained Like other students in her batch, Piya also went to attend academic exam in Rajshahi Mohila college. But only for her affiliation with student league, a group of activists from BNP’s student front entered the exam hall. In show of surrender to BNP’s student wing leaders, teachers allowed the cadres a free reign as they barred the student from giving exam, followed by assault. Even a group of army troops who came at the scene did not bring to justice the attackers and stop the glaring rights abuses. Rather in defence of attackers, troops handed the affected girl to police. Even in presence of cops the student was assaulted and later unlawfully detained. This entire turn of events prove that reform under Dr Yunus is promoting division and mainstreaming violence on the campus.⁩ ⁩#Bangladesh #BangladeshCrisis #MassArrests #AwamiLeague #WeWantJustice #BangladeshUnderFascism UN Human Rights UN in Bangladesh Amnesty International Human Rights Watch Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sajeeb Wazed Volker Türk FIDH U.S. Embassy Dhaka International Human Rights Foundation Alex Gray Michael Kugelman Human Rights at FCDO @RFKHumanRights Assistant Secretary Riley Barnes Sarah Cooke Chris Blackburn European External Action Service - EEAS 🇪🇺 Susan Ryle Canada in Bangladesh European Union in Bangladesh meenakshi ganguly Amnesty Internationalsasia UN Human Rights Asia Dr. Brahma Chellaney ICJ - Asia and the Pacific CIJ_ICJ International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention Mujib Mashal Kerry Kennedy Mahfuz Anam Prothom Alo The Daily Star BBC News Bangla Chief Adviser of the Government of Bangladesh Irene Khan FORUM-ASIA Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office

‼️Hindus Are Not Safe in Bangladesh‼️ Let's listen to the Hindu women about the on-going situation in #Bangladesh. 🎙️ Under the current interim government, how is your life as a Hindu in Bangladesh? 🗣️ We are not doing well. The joy we used to have before is gone. Every time we step outside, we feel a constant fear. You have seen how children are being tortured. If such things can happen to a little child, do you think this country is in a good state? The student community claims that everything they have done is for our benefit. But have they really done anything good? I throw this question to the entire nation—have they done anything good at all? I don’t think so. I only see destruction. We can already predict what the future generations will be like. Today is Holi, and in previous years, we celebrated it with great joy. But this year, we couldn’t celebrate it properly. I heard that everything was canceled because of Ramadan, so we Sanatanis could not enjoy our festival. The law enforcement system that existed before is now completely gone! The administration is doing nothing for us, nor is the government. We are in a very bad state. We live in constant fear. Before, even at 2 AM, we could move freely. Now, we are scared. We don’t dare go out. Even people going out to buy medicine are getting mugged. They lose their money, sometimes even their lives. #BangladeshCrisis #MassArrests #WeWantJustice #BangladeshUnderFascism #AllEyesOnBangladeshiHindus #SaveBangladeshiHindus #SaveBangladeshiMinorities INSIGHT UK Australian Hindu Media Hindu Forum Britain Hindu American Foundation Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention IRF Secretariat Religious Freedom Institute meenakshi ganguly Amnesty International South Asia, Regional Office UN Human Rights Asia Amnesty International UN Human Rights Council UNSR on freedom of religion or belief Chris Blackburn European External Action Service - EEAS 🇪🇺 Bangladesh Watch UN in Bangladesh Amnesty International Human Rights Watch Ministry of Foreign Affairs Volker Türk ICJ - Asia and the Pacific Mujib Mashal Chief Adviser of the Government of Bangladesh Office of International Religious Freedom Knox Thames IRF Summit IPPFoRB CSW Advocacy (INACTIVE) Sam Brownback Mary Lawlor UN Special Rapporteur HRDs Donald J.
