UN Human Rights Body Became Democrats Tool for Regime Change - UNHRC Commissioner Volker Türk’s Admission ---- UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Türk, openly admitted that he personally warned (or rather, threatened) the Bangladesh Military—with UN peacekeeping mission—not to assist the government in handling the chaos and violence in July. In his own words, "he warned them not to get involved with the situation.” This interference came at a critical moment when the government imposed a curfew on July 18 to restore law and order. As a result, the civil administration was left to tackle the mayhem, riot, chaos and instability all alone, without military support. The primary responsibility of any armed force is to assist the government in maintaining peace and stability when the situation spirals out of control. Yet, Türk’s warning actively discouraged that duty. It is also important to note that most of the casualties occurred between July 19 and July 24. Had the military been allowed to act, could many of these deaths have been prevented. Türk’s statement makes it clear: The UNHCR was not a neutral body in this crisis. In this clear footage, you can easily notice, BA 6047 Lieutenant Colonel Md.Redwanul Islam, commanding officer of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), taking targeted shots using an AK-47 assault rifle. Simultaneously, members of the Bangladesh Police are using Chinese Type 56 SKS rifles to aim and shoot at unarmed civilians. The use of such lethal weapons to disperse a civilian crowd is a clear violation of the Geneva Conventions; lethal force against unarmed civilians is explicitly prohibited and is classified as a grave breach of international humanitarian law. On Friday, July 19, 2024, near Rampura Police Station in Dhaka, residents of the Banasree area took to the streets to protest against the student killings. A clash ensued between the Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB), the police, and the general protesters. At one point, unable to withstand the continuous shooting from the BGB and police, several teenagers climbed a nearby under-construction four-story building. When the BGB and police regained control of the area, a few police officers entered the building. While everyone else managed to escape, one teenager got trapped. He tried to hide by climbing down the side of the fourth-floor roof. However, two police officers spotted him and fired six rounds from a revolver, ensuring the teenager's death before leaving. The video captures this very scene. What an egregious violation of human rights! On Friday, July 19, 2024, near Rampura Police Station in Dhaka, residents of the Banasree area took to the streets to protest against the student killings. A clash ensued between the Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB), the police, and the general protesters. At one point, unable to withstand the continuous shooting from the BGB and police, several teenagers climbed a nearby under-construction four-story building. When the BGB and police regained control of the area, a few police officers entered the building. While everyone else managed to escape, one teenager got trapped. He tried to hide by climbing down the side of the fourth-floor roof. However, two police officers spotted him and fired six rounds from a revolver, ensuring the teenager's death before leaving. The video captures this very scene. What an egregious violation of human rights! But only for her affiliation with student league, a group of activists from BNP’s student front entered the exam hall. The joy we used to have before is gone. Every time we step outside, we feel a constant fear. You have seen how children are being tortured. If such things can happen to a little child, do you think this country is in a good state? The student community claims that everything they have done is for our benefit. But have they really done anything good? I throw this question to the entire nation—have they done anything good at all? I don’t think so. I only see destruction. We can already predict what the future generations will be like. Today is Holi, and in previous years, we celebrated it with great joy. But this year, we couldn’t celebrate it properly. I heard that everything was canceled because of Ramadan, so we Sanatanis could not enjoy our festival. The law enforcement system that existed before is now completely gone! The administration is doing nothing for us, nor is the government. We are in a very bad state. We live in constant fear. Before, even at 2 AM, we could move freely. Now, we are scared.
