Speaking of odds, what are the odds that you will apologize for promoting the ponzi scheme BlockFi?

Cut the rates? There won’t be any rate cuts as long as the inflation is going to rise due to the trade tariffs. Those are Powell’s words, the FED won’t budge. Powell will be forced to hike the rates if Trump’s trade tariff strategy is not going to work out

Recession isn’t necessarily a bad thing it signals the start of a new economic cycle and sets the stage for future growth.

But isn't the FOMC having the ability to lower interest rates incorporated into market expectations? Things like tariffs (which 🔼 prices and 🔽 economic activity) make it harder for the FOMC to get policy right.

Imo it depends on negotiations of tariffs and a small portion of the Feds actions

IMO: the odds of a recession increase each week this administration fails to announce tariff trade deals. The business community is begging for clarity.

My call of $SPY 450.00 - 500.00 last year wasn't so crazy as we see now.

@APompliano Odds up to 50% some say—markets are shaky with Trump’s tariffs! I reckon we’ll dodge the bullet if trade gets fairer, but it’s a wild ride either way.

Yeah, I think it might be necessary, if we’re not already in the middle of one. It’s one mechanism that lowers interest rates. I’d love to see interest rates in the 4% range, and see young people get back to buying starter homes. Short term pain, long term gain.

3 was this turns out -Negotiations occur and tariffs come down. Soft landing still in play -Tariffs stay and consumer spending holds up. Stagflation will occur -Tariffs stay and consumer spending slows. Recession will occur.

FED will cut rates, issue i see here is that people are not understanding this, subsequently causing them to get wiped out of the markets patience and discipline are key.

Yup… we desperately need one. It’s been over 15 years. The Fed needs to let this slowdown continue… But, it won’t. QE on the way. Trump knows this. As soon as he can refinance the debt that comes due this year, (9T), the market will rebound.
