How do ZK proofs differ from multi-party computations (MPC)? 🤔 With ZK proofs, one person has private data and can prove something about it. Example: Let’s say you want to do a transaction with someone and you want to show them you have enough money. You could prove that without revealing the actual amount. With MPC, you can have many people with private data, and you can run a more complex query - a computation. Example: Let’s say you want to calculate an average salary of 3 friends without anyone revealing their salary. Each person could break down their salary into three parts that sum to the total (e.g. for 150 it might be 50 +500 -400). They give just one piece of that sum to each of the others. These are then summed together and eventually divided to calculate the average. Without anyone knowing anything they shouldn't. That is one way that MPC can work. Replace salary with any confidential data in this example and you get the idea! So, ZK proofs are like binary MPC for 1 person. Imitation learning is great, but needs us to have (near) optimal data. We throw away most other data (failures, evaluation data, suboptimal data, undirected play data), even though this data can be really useful and way cheaper! In our new work - RISE, we show a simple way to *use all of this non-optimal data to robustify imitation learning* with minimal requirements beyond BC. Key idea: use non-expert data to learn how to *recover* back to expert data with a minimal frills offline RL that works under sparse data coverage. In one of the most gripping talks at ZK Hub ETHDenver, Juan Angel (Juan), Ecosystem Growth at Nillion, made the case for “open but private” data - arguing that blind computation can break data out of corporate silos and let users lease it securely without ever revealing the raw inputs. Through real examples like encrypted genomic data (via Monatic DNA) and incentivized health prediction markets (Stadium Science), Juan painted a future where users hold the encryption keys, opt in to share data selectively, and get paid every time it's used. The biggest takeaway? Not your keys, not your data. This talk is also available to view on the House of ZK YouTube:

✨ I made a new thing today: 📑 Whenever I need to quickly copy paste a raw JSON data dump from my app and view it I'd always use json . parser . online . fr but it seems unmaintained, keeps going down, doesn't have HTTPS, and other JSON viewers are full of spyware/malware/tracking scripts So I made this today with a lot of help from ChatGPT to solve it for me and everyone else: visualizes raw JSON data for you, and does it 100% on the client without sending any data to the server But it also secretly supports a lot of other data formats like XML, PHP serialized data, hexadecimal, base64 encoded data, and even binary! And it also works well on mobile! Another one of my little hack projects :D If you want me to add other data types, let me know and I'll add them
