Red Hot Chili Peppers - Under The Bridge #alternative #90s

Emerged as a secret poem and catapulted the Chili Peppers to global stardom. "Under the Bridge" was a massive 1992 hit, but its origin is a poignant story of Anthony Kiedis' loneliness and addiction. 🤔 Fun Fact: Kiedis wrote the lyrics in a notebook and was reluctant to show them, but producer Rick Rubin found them and demanded they make it a song. John Frusciante's mother and her choir friends actually recorded the backing vocals for the ending! Did you know? 🤯

The "jump the shark" moment for the Peppers.

Great song

Anthony Kids 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

I don’t really wanna feel like I did that day… 🎶 ❤️

The beginnings of something great

This is one of those songs that you hit repeat.

Classic 🤎🧡

This guy, the band, just sucks...

The All Saints cover is really very good too.

Playthisshitatmyfuneral ✅✅

Have they had a Tiny Desk? If not, it’s definitely time!

Totally forgot about this video.

Frusciante had the opportunity to play the most badass guitar solo in history on this song, but he didn't. Not since Stairway to Heaven have I heard such a beautiful song.

John is the first person who introduced parallel worlds and possible multiple versions of himself. Which is a theory, I was not comfortable with for a long time. And there was that interview where he said he actually tried to travel back in time in his mind, to put who he was in a younger version of himself and start over. Which is really tough as a teenager. Too be a young musician and not go down a similar path. Of a self-induced death spiral

Can’t describe how satisfying it was to learn that bassline

😎🍻

Classic record
