Red pandas are unique animals that belong to their own family, Ailuridae. They have a striking red fur that helps them camouflage in the trees, where they spend most of their time. Red pandas are very vocal and use different sounds to communicate, such as squeals, huff-quacks, and twittering. These pandas are also very agile and can descend trees headfirst, unlike most other animals. Red pandas are sometimes called the first pandas, because they were named before the giant pandas.
