Absolutely. I’ve never seen a criminal defense attorney calling out a member of the jury like this. It’s wrong. They really do play dirty and some of these defense attorneys, like Reddington here, have zero morality.

I hope the "hold out" juror sues Reddington for millions of dollars for his out of the courtroom statements about the juror. Each and every juror has the right to decide the guilt or non guilt. That is how we protect everyone else.

So a juror went with the prosecutors argument. That doesn't mean the juror didn't "FOLLOW THE LAW"! The rest of the jury went with the defenses argument. Did they "FOLLOW THE LAW"? The defense lawyer goes out afterwards & attacks the Juror who didn't vote his way! Thats wrong!

Lawyers are allowed to argue vigorously in court that a juror is not following the judge’s instructions and to ask the judge to inquire or remove that juror. Doing so on the record is ordinary advocacy. The risk arises when the comments move outside the courtroom or become personal: publicly naming or describing a sitting juror, accusing that person of perjury, or using language that can be read as a threat. Those actions can be viewed as an attempt to intimidate or influence a juror, a violation of rules against prejudicial trial publicity, or conduct that interferes with the administration of justice.

Reddington repeatedly disclosed that the holdout was male, while the jury reportedly had only three men, and then repeatedly characterized that juror as someone who “refuses to listen to the law,” had “acknowledged doubt but refuses to apply it,” and even argued that the juror had effectively lied under oath or violated his juror’s oath. Reddington did not publish the juror’s name, but he narrowed the population considerably and attached a very damaging narrative to that person: male holdout → responsible for the 11–1 deadlock → supposedly refusing to obey the law → supposedly lying under oath → responsible for the mistrial. In a nationally followed case, that can make a juror substantially easier to identify, particularly to people who attended court, know jury members, have photographs/video of the jury entering or leaving, or can correlate public information. Massachusetts's §13B covers conduct directed directly or indirectly toward someone who “is or was” a juror and includes intimidation, harassment, and retaliation connected to the person's participation in the proceeding. So the juror does not lose statutory protection the moment the judge declares a mistrial. There is also an important distinction between what Reddington said while advocating in court and what he said to reporters/publicly. His courtroom argument that the juror should be dismissed is ordinary adversarial advocacy and has substantial protection in that setting. Saying essentially the same thing publicly about an increasingly identifiable juror is a different question, particularly once the proceeding has ended in a mistrial. I pray no one else gets hurt.

I'd like to know how the defense lawyer knew so much about the jurors during the trial. Then he released info about the Juror who was holding out & he spewed how the Juror was biased. How would the lawyer know any of that? Did he have a mole in the jury leaking him info?

Apparently it's impossible to be disbarred in this country, for any reason (unless you dead name / misgender someone of course)
