redesigned my portfolio website!

sharing some of my inspirations and tools! - the self healing mat is inspired from @rahulbhadoriiya's matwidget - the mat is designed using the cutting mat generator by @marijanapav - the stickers are inspired from @workcinprogress 's portfolio - not similar but the smooth link previews are a reference from @adii_kris ' portfolio - and pinterest :) - used @cursor_ai mainly - opus to plan and grok / composer to build.

Love the cutting mat background, such a nice detail. I have also recently revamped my portfolio too, but my post didn’t get much reach, so sharing it here as well:

thank you! looks nice man! - i think you could add some colour to it and also make it a little more optimised for phone - the logos can be coloured - also I notice some of the company names etc are blurred, maybe make them visible

Thank you! Really appreciate the feedback. I’ll definitely work on the mobile experience and colours. The blur is intentional, but I’ll consider making them visible.

neat! footer pretty nice! can add more logos and icons for the experience / work section in my opinion on the green - well the idea was that it’s on a self healing cutting mat which designers use to experiment. this is my board to exponent and showcase the different parts of my life :)

i like the colour scheme and the minimal feel, very neat! and the icons are fire! some things: - i see 3-4 fonts. stick to not more than 2. - add more links. it’s better than asking the user to just check your github. add github, live links, demo - all that you have - the chat part can be removed imo, looks out of place. you can instead create a chatgpt me which uses can use inside chatgpt itself - the intro can be more about what you have done, covering your projects and experience in short rather than an abstract summary all the best!

so cool! i'm looking for inspirations on how I should make mine i have the domain but never got around building the portfolio website

oh it is so hard to get to doing this man need some heavy impetus to change it plus there is alsways this feeling of it not being ‘good enough’ because it’s your own portfolio and a reflection of your work - very hard for inspirations, again twitter. once you engage with more and more portfolio / design content, the feed automatically starts showing more references i’ll link some of mine too in a separate tweet!

would love to see your inspo tweets. thanks for that and yea i agree, the level of quality i expect from my own site is so high that its taking so long to find the perfect idea actually yours gave me a little inspiration for one of the sections i might wanna add. gonna atleast initiate the project tonight and see where it goes

noob question as I don’t use cursor much but does opus consumer the $400 api credits in cursor ultra plan or there is a separate usage quota?

so usage is divided between cursor models (grok and composer) and all others from my screenshot, you can see that others models usage gets consumed faster because opus is expensive auto i still have because the cursor models are cheaper the other screenshot is for 2 days of usage over the weekend where I was working on this (not entirely, total work was happening from sometime) 153M tokens, mainly cursor models those cursor models alone would have taken about 25-35% of auto usage. opus and others take much higher
