Brooklyn: Myrtle Avenue & Walworth Street. A construction worker died yesterday due to reckless driving. According to the NYPD Highway Collision Investigation Squad, and as captured on CCTV footage, a 36-year-old man driving a white 2023 Ford Transit van eastbound on Myrtle Avenue attempted to pass a 2004 Freightliner box truck within a construction zone. The Ford van entered the oncoming traffic lane, striking the driver's side of the Freightliner and a 37-year-old male pedestrian, a construction worker serving as a flagger.
