"I want to make sure those numbers do not get higher, and those numbers end up going lower because we're successful in negotiating a new arrangement with Canada" Danielle Smith yesterday afternoon. This video clearly lays out the Premiers marching orders. She does not support a referendum on independence, it should be said the very opposite is true. She has been instructed and will do what she can to prevent the support of separatism breaching 30%. The newly tabled Bill 54 will lower the threshold required to trigger a citizens initiative. A direct and what I believe to be the intended consequence of changing the threshold is less public support for the referendum question which follows a successful citizens initiative. Lower threshold+less public support= failed referendum. In short, a lower threshold to initiate the citizens initiatives will result in a higher likelihood that a referendum stemming out of the proposed legislation also fails. Alberta Separatists need to have a serious discussion on not just how much support is needed to hold a referendum but also how much support is needed to hold a SUCCESSFUL referendum. #AlbertaSeparation

Blair Cottrell posts a follow up video explaining how the first person to break ranks and publicly criticise the hate crimes legislation is a Labor Party MP from NSW. The MP is also a Barrister, and he says how he thinks WAP will win their High Court case and be launched into politics. Very good video and Blair is right to criticise One Nation who have been silent on the case. This case is at the forefront of freedom of speech and freedom of political expression for the nation. As Blair says, everyone should be talking about this.
