Maaaaaan, seeing the legend that is Gary Imlach break down nearly started me off. Honestly you’re all going to be greatly missed and thank you for everything you’ve done for cycling in the UK. You guys are the GOATS of cycling broadcast.

Will miss Gary’s dry, witty openings, one of the best presenters in the game. The whole team have been brilliant, sad to see it end.

The putting of the tour behind a paywall and cancelling of the Netflix show is very short sighted, this deminishes the standing of the tour in the uk. The itv4 team were my go to, have been for years. Will miss the theme tune

I'm not even a cycling fan, but every year, just for the #TDF , you've been the soundtrack to July's for years, thank you. Goodbye to #itvcycling , and goodbye to the @LeTour too...

Such a massive shame! The coverage, commentary and production has been the highlight of many summers. You guys will be sorely missed. I do worry for the sport with it not being on free to watch tv.

Gary Imlach is the best Sports TV anchor in the UK. Ever. Bar none. It's a hugely dissapointing ITV are no longer showing @LeTour

Wonderful reflections. I’ve been watching the incredible Gary Imlach host the tour every summer since I was little. C4 and ITV got me into cycling. ITV got my wife into cycling, we’ll miss watching it together. It’s a really big loss. Thanks for the memories.

25 years I've watched @itvcycling coverage of @LeTour , You are a cycling institution and will dearly missed by many cycling fans in UK. Your hard work & dedication to bring show has been absolutely brilliant.

Thank you for everything, you mastered the art of filling a long commentary bloc in the same way Test Match Special has for cricket. The summer sporting landscape won't be the same now

You are an institution. Loved every minute of it since TdF made it to UK tv in the 80’s. Sporting highlight of the year. One of the few sports where the commentators know what they are talking about, when to talk about it and what to say. A very sad loss indeed.

Our last dance is over, but what a dance it has been

Saying that its not good being out behind a 'pay wall', and I agree to a point, but ITV hid it on ITV4, if they were serious about cycling it would have proper highlights at least on ITV1.

The ITV (and C4) coverage of Le Tour de France has been a gateway for so many to get into the sport of cycling including myself and my kids. It was the best sports programme on TV bar none. Chapeau to all involved, you will be sorely missed.

Your coverage was so good that I used to book time off work to watch. Now what am I going to do? This was my absolute number one broadcast of the year. I feel like a part of me has died! You are all legends, the Pogacars of the presenting world. Respect to all!

Thank you for making July an epic event & bringing the TdF to our homes & making us feel that we were along side you & a part of the madness, chaos, history & culture. As Mark Cavendish said ‘it’s not a bike race, it’s the Tour de France’ & your coverage epitomised that spirit.

Bravo and Chapeau to the whole itv cycling crew. It’s been a delight watching live and highlight shows over the years. It’s extremely sad for UK viewers and cycling as a sport in uk that free to air coverage will no longer be available. Best of luck to all of you 👏🏻

Watching Gary tear up AGAIN made me cry. I'm grateful for the years I got to watch the TdF on ITV (am now in the US so have to pay for decent coverage!).
