@Philips25637063 Didn’t even think he was hiding this. If reform get in power, it is inconceivable they will not bring an end to the NHS. There is far too much profit to be had from our health needs. Healthcare will get much more expensive, and it will be the sick and injured who pay.
Have you not followed up what he said since? He said he liked the American style and the French style.
@daniellismore Claire - go and read Reforms policies. The voucher system for example is a means of privatisation. It’s clear from reforms policies that overtime it’ll get turned into a buyer of private services. There are many downsides to this. Privatisation will be a steady slow burn
@daniellismore Hi Claire, the key difference as i see it is a) now the price is set centrally B) likely volume as reform policy expands usage (the money is NHS money being spent elsewhere) C) implied patient top ups as market sets the price

Insurance hardly works for anyone. It's a living Hell especially for those on low incomes. And the insurer cares only about avoiding cost, picking cheapest practitioner and raising premiums.....And never, really, cares for the patient. The NHS DOES! #nhs

Lol he only gave permission for those posters to be released recently to try and divert attention to the fact he said loudly and clearly that he wants to change the #NHS to an insurance based scheme. This means privatisation and although he gave permission for @TiceRichard to release those retractions, to this day #Farage is insistent he wants to change the NHS! He's right but having a model like Australia or Netherlands is a good compromise. If you want your car insured would you rather pay into your own policy and hold the insurer responsible to take action or would you prefer to pay into a Government pot and hope they fix your car should you need it?

Reform UK’s policy is clear: we will keep the NHS free at the point of delivery. You do understand that ALL parties have to update their policies in response to changes in the country, right? But surely the UK has a system called “national insurance” that was established to “insure” the population for health, welfare and aged pensions. Hence it already has “insurance based healthcare” even if it is teetering on its base…
