Cry me a river. What a loser. “I’m 40 and my life is over”. No it’s not over, that’s just a pathetic apology for giving up.

House, savings and career I’m proud of is his metric for having a good life? And because he doesn’t have these things at 40 he’s ruined his life? If you think this way you’re doomed no matter what age you are

These comments are rough. If you watch this dude's content he has some good context behind the situation he is in. The video is long I don't know like 15 minutes or something. What he delves into is his days living unconsciously in a rock band, pursuing women for all the wrong reasons, and not planning for the birth of his son and the other general aspects of life that many people would agree are worth pursuing. Like owning a home. The music puts an necessary emphasis on the wrong parts of his cathartic diatribe. Its much more than a ramble, its a guy who has suddenly accelerated his standards and wants to create something that he feels is meaningful. Right now. So he is getting traction because it is a common point of vulnerability that actually drives the best in a man. I suspect he is making this video with a hidden motivation. He wants to speak to his son through a vlog that serves as a time capsule of how he felt about his life while he could articulate it fully and raw. Lets price in a myopic point of view, that maybe he is finding some strange way of engagement farming, even then, his piece is moving and its written in a way that is not nearly as "spectacle oriented" as the music and particular clipped section would suggest.

@EssjSongoku I am 39 and have lost everything to the illness ME/CFS. My job, my savings, a relationship of 7 years. And still that’s not a reason for me to give up. I fight every day to get better, work as much as I can and raise awareness for the illness. Life can only get better better 💪🏻

I know plenty of people who are 40 or older who didn't party, they didn't chase women, they did what they were supposed to do by societal prescription, they got the degree, they got the corporate job, the got married they got the house, they hate their lives now

If you always look at the past, there will always be regrets regardless. Being wrong is only data, there is no shame in it. Focus on the future instead.

Yeah the problem is, wealth doesn’t really solve things either; We may of course try to beat the game on a material basis by becoming very wealthy. Once you succeed at that enterprise you’ll still find you’re unsatisfied because you’ve lost youth. ~ Allan Watts All problems are based on loss Of youth.

Oh fuck off. Guaranteed this dude did tons of stuff he wanted in his 20s. Success looks different for each person it isnt all wife kids and picket fences. Just do what makes you happy, and dont apologize for your choices.

Always remember that the Founder of McDonald's, has founded it when he was in his 50's. The founder of KFC has been rejected with his idea about 300 times, fabulous number. So I think that it's all about trying no matter how old are you! #believe #work #try

"Chase your dreams". "Seek happiness". "YOLO". No. Think about the future. You could die tomorrow, sure. But you could also live for another 40 years. Take care of your health. Have a steady income. Find two or maybe three people you can trust. Life won't forgive your mistakes.

And everything’s over when you’re 40?! What kind of a mindset bullshit this is 😂 this is the mindset you wanna share to people? You wanna people to feel bad about life cause of one sad MF, this loser mentality. Life basically starts when you guys turn 40, peace on the way ✌🏻

The internet is amazing. You can actually monetize the fact that you wasted your life. There seems to be no limit. What’s interesting is that this guy has now claimed a niche. And the internet, being global, only allows so many people to fill that niche. There are probably nine other guys who wasted their lives just as much as he did, but they’ll never get the recognition because of how power laws work. This post just got half a million views, almost three thousand likes. He’s won. He’s done it. He’s the guy who wasted his life on the internet. He’s carved that identity out forever, and he’ll be able to milk it for years to come. I commend him. In wasting his life and publicizing it, he’s reached a kind of apotheosis that most other life-wasters never will. And it’s like this for every niche. There’s only one dinosaur-mommy OnlyFans paleontologist with a PhD. There’s only one Croatian olive-oil baron. There’s only one of each absurdly specific human archetype. The internet is, at once, amazing, surreal, and completely unfair.

The problem with this moron is that he did not make any type of spiritual growth, if he had done it he would not care if he was 25, 40 or 70 years old. It seems that he is a person who pursued superficial things, now that he is no longer interested in that he feels that he wasted

Stats don't lie. Most people are "useless". The reality is everyone just pushes time forward. They are a drop in the ocean of difference. You don't matter and no one will remember you. In contrast. God will be waiting. You only live 80 years. It's nothing. Eternity is forever.

DON'T FALL FOR THIS LIE. If you are Buddhist, there's no such thing as wasting your life. All you have is the present moment. Therefore the past doesn't exist. You are free. If you can be content now, and happy, now, your past doesn't matter.

Wtf is he talking about. You lived the way you want to live with no regrets. He chose to live his life, traveling, partying, why is it a measure of success to have a house? Savings?

So you are 40 look at all the places and things you have learned and done put those to work and see where you can end up in 20 or 40 years. Fuck the first 20 years you are still learning to walk while dodging whatever life throws at you. Give yourself more credit. Life isnt over it just changes.
