Play it here: Works on mobile too, but it’s a third-person shooter, so desktop is much easier to play. Thanks to @yak32 for the original resources, and @Schindelar3D for the abandoned building photoscan via SuperSplat.

I made a little gaussian splat game demo set in a world created in World Labs Marble, using three.js + spark + crashcat + navcat, and I made a video about it! On the World Labs youtube channel now: + project github: My interest in game programming started from a place of curiosity after watching videos like SimonDev's three.js game tutorials. I tried to create something of the same spirit for this one :) It's a tour of the building blocks and concepts that come together to build a browser game inside a gaussian splat scene. It covers: - rendering gaussian splats with three.js + spark with level of detail - splat collision mesh generation - splat navigation mesh generation - adding a first person character controller - baking light probes for a gaussian splat to get environment lighting on characters - casting shadows from characters on a proxy mesh - character pathfinding + navigation mesh queries for quest ribbons - a silly prototype fetch quest in the game world to find the missing spaceship keys I don't think the game will win any awards 😛 but I hope it is a fun & useful game technology tour. Enjoy!

Finally! I added multiplayer to my browser-based WebGL card game, Summoners. Multiplayer is a really common request. You pick your deck and then send the URL to a friend. They can join even if they don't have an account. It's free to play and live on the site now. I built the multiplayer system using websockets and Fly.io servers. It's working great so far but drop any bugs in the Summoners.io discord. 🙏 🪄 Happy gaming ⚔️

Gaussian Splatting is pretty wild. Being able to take dense collections of assets and package them into fast, real-time splats opens up a ton of new possibilities for look-dev, previs, and interactive scenes. For this test, I built a pile of 400 skulls - roughly 40+ million polygons (and over 400 8K texture instances) - rendered out a 600 frame dataset on The Render Network with OTOY OctaneRender and then converted the result into a single splat asset. Now it runs in real-time as one compact Gaussian Splat.

I'm excited to share the Geo Register Plugin for LichtFeld Studio from the LichtFeld community! This plugin helps bring Gaussian splat scenes into real-world geographic space. It registers a scene to WGS-84 and ECEF coordinates, so you can click any point on the model and get its latitude, longitude and altitude. It supports multiple georeferencing sources, including EXIF GPS data, image position CSVs, RealityScan camera parameters and saved similarity transforms. Once the scene is registered, you can export geo-referenced splat models as LAS, LAZ or 3D Tiles datasets for use in GIS and 3D mapping workflows. Built for anyone working with drone data, photogrammetry, Gaussian splatting, GIS, ArcGIS or CesiumJS. Link in the comment below!

Don’t be hating on our down-spin pitchers just because their weight is a lil more forward. Drop is one of the most important pitches in college softball. Especially with 190 ft fences. Ground balls are a pitcher’s best friend!!! 🥎🥎🥎 Let’s go drop ball pitchers! Dare to be different. 🦄✨ Lexi Kilfoyl is a great example. Loved watching her throw it.
