The cop was hospitalized but now has fully recovered with no lasting issues. Within 24 HOURS, the accused were RELEASED on bail. This is what a broken bail system looks like: Grown men charged with trafficking children back in communities while families are left wondering why this continues to happen! Brittany is a strong mom fighting to protect our children from predators, since our justice system won’t. Travis Reed Gaye pleaded guilty to possessing video of an infant being sexually abused. He should have been sent to prison for 70 years. Instead, he got probation, violated his probation, and was released back onto our streets THE SAME DAY he was arrested. Let this sink in: was facing 70 years behind bars, and he walked free in hours. He’s now back at home in a neighborhood full of young children. Like Brittany said, this isn’t political, this is about protecting our kids. And under South Carolina’s Attorney General, our state has become a SAFE HAVEN for pedophiles. South Carolina parents have had ENOUGH of the excuses. We will NOT stop demanding answers. And we will NOT be silenced.

This past week, I pressed Executive Director Andre Stancil of the Colorado Department of Corrections on why dangerous criminals were released due to flawed parole risk scores. Thousands of people labeled “low risk” were released, and many of them committed violent crimes within days. Lives were lost because of mismanagement! Instead of answering, Director Stancil disputed the reporting, defended his media response, and ultimately admitted he has no way of knowing how many violent offenders were released. Families and citizens deserve accountability and a system that prioritizes public safety. When public safety is on the line, Coloradans deserve real answers. I will keep asking until we get them.

Yesterday, May 19, I arrived for a visit with Marwan Barghouti — a meeting that had been scheduled more than a month ago. I was expecting to ask him what he had gone through over the past month, and what kind of torture he had suffered at the hands of this criminal regime and the violent, criminal IPS prison guards. I drove for more than two hours into the middle of the desert. Two minutes after I entered the prison, an alarm sounded and a “state of emergency” was declared. The guards told me and another lawyer who was waiting there to go home, because we would not be able to enter today. So I drove back for more than two hours again — about five hours in total, for nothing, without meeting my client. This is not the first time this has happened to me, and I doubt there really was a “state of emergency.” I do not believe a word they say. #FREEPALESTİNE
