I like that idea. If they insist on remakes I’d like going from 3D to 2D, leave the live action out of it

Don’t remake it at all. Leave it alone and make something original.

I would watch a Moana remake in classic 2D animation over live action any day.

I think original hand drawn movies would be better, a remake for something best left animated makes no sense

you would think this could be the next new trend for them, Spiderverse/Last Wish/that Paperman short film from 2012, now’s the time to break this live-action slop era. but nopeee🥲

Honest to god what I’d like so see remakes do instead. Movies like Rapunzel or Wish are definitely movies meant to pay homage to Disney’s Golden Age and having them being 2D animated would reinforce that Heck, they could do hybrids styles like Spiderverse specific to each film

See, now 2D animated remakes might make people buy a third ticket to all of these

They wouldn't want that. It's more expensive to have a hand drawn animator than a 3d one.

Make a new 2D movie, but this film doesn't need a remake—it's a beautiful movie that looks stunning in 3D, and that doesn't detract from it because the animators put a lot of effort into it.

Another pilot that seems to mix hand drawn animation and flash animation is Enter Mode 5, the animation is REALLY expressive and the rigs they use are very dynamic and actually change shapes like a hand drawn cartoon

The animation process of Akira (1988) was groundbreaking. With over 160,000 hand-drawn cels and 327 different shades of color—50 created specifically for the film—it pushed the limits of traditional animation.
