First it will be terminally ill people, then disabled and then people with mental illness. The progressive left can’t help themselves.

Always trying to make it about herself...it's not, it's about people having a choice who are terminally ill, who don't want to go to hospice or have strangers come to their house when they get near to the end of their lives and who want to choose not to have a stage managed death

It’s about very strictly defined terminally ill conditions, with very limited life, for those few in horrifically painful conditions - where palliative care is of no use It’s not about choice on a whim. Or choice through coercion. Or choice based on mental exhaustion So sad

All very good and well however wtf does social care provision have to do with individuals approaching end of life and wish the option of medical assistance to go at a time of their choosing.

"If this bill passes it will be easier to access help to die than help to live." Really? Zero-sum pessimism won't help anyone. Some very strong arguments against the bill were aired, but this isn't one. We could have #AssistedDying and decent healthcare and palliative care.

Eloquently and accurately spoken. Pam speaks for me. Unless this is you, it’s truly impossible to grasp the realities of a life lived like this. I have lifelong, complex chronic illness. As my health, disability and QOL have decreased, so too has my agency.
