When protests were happening after the Nirbhaya case, Dr Manmohan Singh Ji addressed the nation keeping his eyes down and said that people's anger is justified. He didn't mention BJP-ruled states in comparison and didn't try to normalize that crime. But we saw Modi equating Manipur with Rajasthan, Chhatisgarh, and West Bengal. This is what changed after 2014.

He says just about everything that someone wants to say on a day like that, but usually we do not. He also brings up an interesting debate.. The law says he must present his ID and technically he is presenting it. Does that mean he needed to hand it to the officer or was he legal in what he did?
