FOX: American cities reject Flock cameras due to privacy concerns ----- Glenn does a great job explaining the ins and outs of Flock cameras. He cites that they are unconstitutional, talks about the number of Flock cameras errors and says it is a mass surveillance system. He also asks what would Fauci have done during the lockdowns with Flock cameras? Flock cameras are an upgrade to the governments "lockdown system" and the they will try to use them again for lockdown 2.0. I think Glenn makes a misstep when he says the cameras must be used constitutionally. There is no way to use them constitutionally - they record without a warrant by default. The only way these tools can conform to the constitution is to remove them and not use them. Lastly, FOX repeats the lie that Flock cameras data is deleted in 30 days. Flock contractually obligates clients keep cameras live and recording and has even turned them back on in municipalities that have tried to shut them down. Flock wants the data above all else and that implies they are keeping the data permanently and selling the data illegally.

Florida’s surveillance problem keeps getting harder to explain. Oviedo: fake Flock cameras were installed without the mayor knowing. Pasco: a commissioner admitted she hadn’t read the license-plate-reader contract, then defended it against concerns about warrantless mass surveillance. Manatee County: the sheriff said there’s “a lot of misinformation” surrounding Flock cameras. Interestingly, Flock CEO Garrett Langley has also used the misinformation line in an NBC interview. Okaloosa County: Langley emailed the sheriff’s department claiming activists were trying to “weaponize” public-records requests. Yet politicians and Flock’s CEO still can’t figure out why people don’t trust license plate readers.

It turns out Flock Safety Cameras love and demand privacy, but only for themselves and their employees - Flock business location says you can’t film - Flock moved locations but they instructed the old building to not give out their location to anyone asking - Security guard at Flock building says he doesn’t consent to being filmed and he doesn’t want to be “under surveillance” Here’s where it gets really crazy - The new flock building is identified but they won’t put their name on the building, or on any of the building signs - Security won’t confirm Flock is in the building - No one is allowed to film, no one is even allowed to access any floors in the building Flock demands extremely privacy, but only for themselves Americans must be under surveillance but for them, you can’t even film outside an old building…. Yesterday in Fraser, Flock helped locate the suspect in a fatal hit-and-run that killed a female motorcyclist. I sat down with Lauren Kostiuk and Local 4 WDIV Detroit to talk about how we’re helping first responders in these cases while also strengthening privacy protections.

The strongest research saying Flock SOLVES crime is a white paper, written by Flock, using Flock's own data. In their own paper, Flock admits the core question, whether these crimes 'otherwise would have remained unsolved in the first place’... was never tested. And that question, in their own words, is 'unlikely to be solved at scale via quantitative analysis.' The strongest independent evidence for ALPR technology closing cases is a 2019 study, of a different company's cameras, which found clearance gains for auto theft and robbery that WERE NOT statistically significant once researchers controlled for other factors.
