Remember that one time that Michael Mann directed a insanely cool trailer for a fake movie starring Benicio Del Toro that was actually just a Mercedes commercial?

The best part is this came out in '02 so you can see so much of Collateral and Miami Vices DNA in this.

Basically Thief (a good thing) compressed in 2:30 minutes with a happy ending. Love it.

Don't forget the one they did with Gary Oldman as the devil with James Brown, Clive Owen and Danny Trejo. Directed by Tony Scott.

Me and Stanley used to sit around after hours underground at the Elstree Base drinking cold Michelobs, going over this ad scene by scene, watching it on a VHS dub, and he'd just keep finding subtle things in it to comment on and study... we both just loved it. Good times. #EWSII

this should be a new project continuing this character development, Mercedes can be a big producer and this can be a 90min lenght film.

SICARIO (2015) gives Benicio del Toro fewer lines than you’d expect, then lets him steal the whole damn movie anyway. Del Toro actually pushed to remove Alejandro’s big backstory monologue, arguing someone that traumatized wouldn’t explain himself.

During a post-release promo, Leonardo DiCaprio and Benicio Del Toro discussed the post-film fates of their characters. DiCaprio speculates that Bob would still be doing small time gigs as part of a band. Del Toro revealed that there was a deleted scene showing him back at the dojo in the closing montage revealing that his character did at least come out of his run in with the law in one piece. - “One Battle After Another” (2025), dir. My God, this dude is such a hater 😭 I genuinely cannot remember the last time that Tyrone was actually happy or excited about a movie. Had this trailer came out 10 years ago, he would’ve been jumping and hollering and screaming.

I remember watching the teaser trailer for the first Cars movie and being pissed that it wasn't a sequel to A Bug's Life.
