Bondi hero Ahmed al-Ahmed has arrived at the Sydney Opera House for the national day of mourning. Mr al-Ahmed arrived just before the service was set to begin with his still-healing arm in a sling. He greeted mourners as he walked in and embraced local rabbis who thanked him for his heroic efforts in Bondi. Other attendees nodded their thanks to Mr al-Ahmed as he entered the Opera House.
