Remember the country we used to be

This post is also a litmus test

One of the original psyop attacks on American culture was a smear campaign against rock bands of the 2000s in favor of terrible rap of the 2010s that no one listens to anymore. Overnight millions of Americans were told that they hate bands they had been listening to for a decade

The goal was to kill rock music, a pillar of American culture. Behind the scenes record labels were turning away new rock music and promoting awful rap/pop music. Many rock artists have spoken about this. Overnight rock artists were effectively unemployed aside from major bands

Many rock artists took their own lives in this period, look for yourself, many cases. This was not due to “depression”. They understood what was happening. Their livelihood was being ripped from them by the labels. They knew they could not go back to regular suburban life.

If you're wondering why there's little new rock music even now. Barriers are still in place. The demand is off the charts. Labels/agencies won't back it. MGK is a good example, when he wanted to produce his punk rock album with Travis Barker, his label said no.

They told him they would back any rap album but not a punk rock album. He had to self-produce during covid and the label only started promoting after it was released and they wanted to cash in on the success.

This is the way ✝️🙏🏻🇻🇦❤️🔥

"It's too far away for me to hold, too far away..."

My god—we could even all get behind Creed! What has happened… 😫😩🤲
