Yep, I was there that day and it was amazing! I also had several Buckeye friends from Ohio visiting me that day for their first game at Kinnick. They were blown away by the flyover, and asked me if Iowa did that for every game. Without hesitating I said "of course."

The ovation at half time when the pilots got to Kinnick was second to none. I believe you could feel the heat from the jets.

Now wasn’t the reason it was because it was the pilot’s last flight. And then the others got reprimanded I believe.

View of the flyover from the 4th floor of the press box. This was the best! 🇺🇸

Was incredible.. everything shook.. might have taken a few years off my life but it was worth it!

Nothing more American than losing your entire career and professional legacy for some lols!

I was in the very top row of the North end zone. I had no idea there was going to be a flyover, but I remember thinking "what the hell is that noise"... next thing I know the jets are sailing over the south end zone.

Ohhhh yes. We were in the North end zone and could feel the heat from the engines as the jets came in from behind us. Will never forget that moment … and then everyone looking around at each like … ‘did they just happen!?’

Greatest day in Kinnick history.

I was on bike patrol and at the corner of Hawkins and Melrose when they flew by. I’ll never forget it. I’m pretty sure one of the pilots even reached out to give us a high (low) five.
