Remember this film - and it's heroine?

🌹Lilian Gish 🌹

One of the most difficult films for me to watch. Mitchum is other-worldly evil. I’m chilled just thinking about him. Lillian Gish is so very good here. I just heard a podcast on her life and my admiration for her grew even more.

Night of the Hunter

The GREAT Lillian Gish .. giving a spectacular performance in “The Night of the Hunter”

The Night Of The Hunter from 1955. The only movie directed by Charles Laughton. She's Lillian Gish btw

She’s a goddamn BOSS in this

Yep. Night of the Hunter. Lillian Gish. Great film. "Abide and Endure"

Scary swamp scene. Can still here him calling out.

The Night of the Hunter. Lillian Gish.

The night of the hunter

La noche del cazador, L. Gish...

Classic

He was so creepy in this one

Mitchum was chewing the scenery is the movie he was so close to sliding over the edge, not he didn't

A great film. Loved every second of it. Pity Charles Laughton only directed this one film!

Oh yeah, and it still creeps most of us out watching it!

Another creepy Robert Mitchum is Cape Fear. Almost as good as this one.

Gish, Mitchum and the kids are all amazing in this great picture. Saddening that it was a flop upon release. Now a "cult movie", but too late for Laughton who was apparently so depressed by the poor reception that it was it first and last attempts as a director.

Remember watching this as a kid and it was so dark. Watched many times and never really like it.

Lillian Gish! And the only film directed by the great Charles Laughton.
