Unfortunately, most of America doesn't care.

I never celebrate. My only son died as a result of wounds sustained in Iraq. He suffered horrific pain as well as horrific treatment from Army hierarchy. I remain indoors and hide from the painful reminders. I am haunted by his early death and the treatment he received from the Army, still unresolved today in terms of recognition. I want justice and continue to seek it today.
