He links part of this to lineage, tracing a line from the SoundCloud rap scene he came up in to the newer underground one that’s replaced it, a scene he says he still exists in. That continuity raises its own question for him, whether he’s stuck “making teenager music forever.” Bladee arrives at something closer to peace with it, saying that he thinks it’s good to “connect with the kids, the youth... the future.”
