There is no publicly confirmed or official explanation from Cooper Brown (or Jeb Jacobi) for why Brown intervened to stop Jacobi from speaking to people/reporters shortly after the shooting Brown needs to be investigated as to why he physically stifled Jeb from speaking.

It might have something to do with the fact that there seemed to be an original narrative earlier in the afternoon that Charlie had been shot in the chest, but which was soon changed to the story we know now that he'd been shot in the neck. Shot in the chest = Narrative 1.0 Shot in the neck = Narrative 2.0 One witness, "Sarah from Draper", went on national TV at 1:17 PM MDT to tell us that Charlie had been shot in the chest (Narrative 1.0). Then she went on TV again at 2:08 PM MDT, just 51 minutes later, and changed her story to Charlie having been shot in the neck (Narrative 2.0). When Jeb Jacobi told everyone that Charlie had been shot in the neck, it's possible that Cooper Brown was still operating on the pre-established Narrative 1.0, "Shot in the chest," and Cooper intervened to stop Jeb's narrative from getting out. Okay things just got way more interesting! Not saying that these three things are connected - but they ALL happened the day before Charlie Kirk’s assassination: 1) Josh Hammer mentioned that he had a talk with Charlie Kirk the day before his assassination regarding his stance on Israel. 2) Josh Hammer posts about public executions the night before Charlie Kirk was assassinated. 3) Charlie Kirk shared concerns with a few friends that he thinks “They” are going to kill him. (Can’t help but wonder if this was before or after his talk with Josh 🤔)

Not saying that these three things are connected - but they ALL happened the day before Charlie Kirk’s assassination: 1) Josh Hammer mentioned that he had a talk with Charlie Kirk the day before his assassination regarding his stance on Israel. 2) Josh Hammer posts about public executions the night before Charlie Kirk was assassinated. 3) Charlie Kirk shared concerns with a few friends that he thinks “They” are going to kill him. Remember that Charlie Kirk went to the Oval Office to tell Trump not to go to with Iran and just months later he was telling friends he was about to leave the pro-Israel movement. Then he was dead. Nobody will ever get me to believe the Israeli’s weren’t behind Kirk’s death.
