“This day we rescue a world from mysticism and tyranny and usher in a future brighter than anything we can imagine.” This is now hate speech.

Yes we did.

Another fantastic film

dude... that celebrates homosexuality

Nowhere in this movie did they celebrate homosexuality. In fact, they called the Athenians “boy lovers” pejoratively. Though historically inaccurate given the actual Spartans and their actions, this is how Hollywood portrayed the Spartans.

@generalstrike66 The Spartans were known for pedophilia and the movie isn’t historically accurate dude. The Spartans were phenomenal warriors but they were really gay and in some cases sick

@generalstrike66 Yes, not disagreeing, it’s more about the depiction Hollywood chose to go with.

Celebrate it? They've spent 20 years trying to tear down 300 and the people who loved the movie, including in its own sequel. That they've failed largely has to do with the same reasons we've been telling the story of Thermopylae for almost 3,000 years.

Disgusting movie that insulted my people history and heritage for no reason at all, showing us as a faceless demons for no fucking reason. And stupid people like you with no consideration for other people enjoyed it. Happy you are now paying for it. Enjoy the new Hollywood era.

So this fictional interpretation of this story is okay because they had white people as the lead?

@JoshuaLisec I wanted an odyssey movie to be made in the style of 300.

@JokerLateNite I remember all of you treated Zack Snyder just like Gen-X treated George Lucas: as though he had spat in the face of your mother and wore your grandmother’s skin for a suit

@JokerLateNite It’s true

The remake from 2026

they really hated this movie though. the 2000s was surprisingly right wing in film and some of the output radicalized the academics.

If they made movies like this again I would buy tickets. Until then? No thanks

WEF and minions (BlackRock, State Street, Vanguard) took control of the media apparatus after 9/11.

Really lucky I grew up in this era. It’s a pity my kids have to witness all the gay woke slops infesting western media today.

Snyder's 300 actually felt mythic.

This was a comic remake. Not a historical movie. Maybe you can turn to Batman and Superman for all that?

Didn’t that one Russian spy on the 80s tv show say it takes about 20 years to change the mindset of the people or something like that?

Watch the classic 300 Spartans if you want a great and accurate movie about Thermopylae. If your "great movie" standards are "Zach Snyder" well fuck me. The guy set a trend which ruined cinema with his overkill use of CGI. Now every movie looks like a PS5 game.

The Spartans were entirely reliant on Slavery. All of Spartan Society out of the military and government was Slaves. They limited campaigns to look at Slaves. Other Greeks were at the battle The Spartan here is literally lying inlore too. Literal propaganda

Greece is not West, your civilization is just "instant wannabe mimic culture".

The director sold this movie as a parade of masculinity which is the only reason he was allowed to make it

Roman Empire was multicultural you idiot. American education, fuck!

Who’s talking about the Romans?

You see the video you used and think Americans huh?

You see it and think Rome, dumbass.

Ever since these subhuman cr3atures went out of Eur0pe just over 500 years ago, the world never knew peace. The only people who were safe from their ravenous destructions were those who had been able to fortify their defense. This is what they celebrate as civilization.

Everything you have is because of us. Third world moron.

You know what's out there? ENTERTAINMENT!

This was more about Frank Miller's 300 comic book than historical accuracy & depictions.

This movie was shit. They could have made it historically accurate and it would have been so much better but they went with a gay comic book.

Funny how some comments here saying how gay it was, not realizing that was the message that got pushed to mock the masculinity the movie portrayed.

Cry harder bitch

@VelThorns Good times

It's funny how when 300 first came out everyone laughed at how gay it was. Ripped dudes going shirtless into battle. Lol. Now, it feels like wholesome nostalgia.

Ok… a few things. Spartans obsessively took care of their hair before a battle. They were militaristic to prevent the huge slave society they had. They also practiced pederasty.

They called it toxic and got rid of it.

Also, not a real thing that happened
