If they haven't been issued permits, nothing has changed... Its annoying that California and SF cannot just have Constitutional Carry - carry permits in America were originally for slaves and native Americans. California justifies its gun control regime based on Jim Crow laws..

UPDATE on the Pacific Palisades building permits, essentially NONE have been approved Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass say they’ve approved 40+ building permits but developer says he’s researched it and that’s a lie. They’re just regular work permits, not rebuilding permits “I wanted to give everybody an update on how fire rebuild permitting is going in Pacific Palisades and Altadena. We just got back our first set of corrections from LA county on a building plan that we submitted in Altadena and It took about 45 days. LA county is great in the sense that they are fully transparent. They have a real time dashboard that you can go online and see exactly how many plans have been submitted, how many permits have been issued, and the average time it's taking to issue those permits in la. I don't think a single rebuild permit has been approved yet. Karen Bass and the media would have you think that over 40 have been issued, but these aren't rebuild permits. These are just regular work permits. So LA is moving extremely slowly. There's no transparency whatsoever. And right now some of my architects are estimating a six month approval, which people need to understand equates to about $20,000 in property taxes just to hold the property for that long with nothing on it. So LA needs to pick it up. Karen Bass needs to wrap up these riots and get back on duty here in Pacific Palisades.” - As of March 21, 2025, the city of Los Angeles had only approved 3 permits for rebuilding and repairs - Today they say they’ve approved 68, but this developer says that’s misinformation as many are just work permits, not building permits

Labor and Immigration officials are inspecting workplaces in Gauteng to enforce compliance and arrest foreigners without work permits. Asking for passports only is no longer enough. We need to start checking for work permits aswell. If they don't have work permits, no registered business, no money or their country is not in an active conflict, they mustn't be allowed in. We will not end the high unemployment rate in this country if we allow this 'passport= free entry Into our country and it's resources' policy to continue. Good job commnders and SAPS though. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.🙏🏾🤝🏾✊🏾🇿🇦

It's a ticking time bomb. Foreigners are starting to fight back and protest. 99,9% of them don't even have proper work permits or invested R5 million in SA to start a business. They well organised.
