I was reminded today of a speech by Rahul Gandhi: “Bullet train kabhi nahi banegi. It’s a magic train. Agar banegi toh congress ke samay banegi.” His party ruled for nearly 70 years, did little to modernise Indian Railways, mocked the idea of a bullet train, and now cries foul when it’s actually being built. We had some good times with Blockbuster didn’t we? Oh the memories of going in on a Saturday night to pick a movie with my brothers. I remember my mom wanted a movie so bad and it was all “sold out.” As my brothers and I went to leave the cashier was like “wait that movie just came in.” I was like 16 years old and that joy still sticks with me to this day.
