I continue to believe that he played this character SO WELL that the Academy was afraid to nominate it simply because he was so brilliantly evil.

Sam Jackson, too. He's exceptional in Django

I really want to hear the honest reason why Leo has been snubbed all these years

Oscars aren't the barometer they once were...the award doesn't celebrate the best any longer it's a virtue signal nothing more, nothing less

Insanity

Oscars don’t like scenery chewing usually. Especially in recent memory, Pacino won for Scent of a Woman and that was hammy af. But you’ll never see a guy like James McAvoy get a nod, even though he’s phenomenal, because he goes too hard and they go for understated performances.

It’s criminal. Performance of a Lifetime. 🎭

Leo DiCaprio hurt his hand for real when he banged it on the table and that scream at he start was actual pain. He even started bleeding for real but he continued the scene.

A bold film! Check out my new podcast, FORBIDDEN FILMS, to discover other transgressive films. I co-host the show with writer-director Wayne Kramer (THE COOLER, RUNNING SCARED).

He should have about half dozen Oscars by now!

That was a crime against humanity.

Theory: I feel like if Will Smith took the leas role, the movie would have had even more buzz and more nominations

...pero si la tuvo Christoph Waltz...y la ganó.

This was a great movie. Favorite Tarantino film

Too grotesque for the lightweights at the Academy

The fact that Christoph Waltz won the Oscar for Django (deservedly) but Leo wasn't even nominated for this is still one of the wildest gaps in Academy history.

He cut his hand and kept right on rolling. Sp great.

Insanity

Wasn’t in the movie enough

Leo’s the fukkin goat.

Overactor. Just because he speaks intensely doesn’t make it a great performance.

Well, thats because the person who won the Oscar was the one he was yelling at in the same movie

Get over it

sometimes I think you follow me on letterboxd because you mention a movie the day after I see it so often xD

Who are we knocking out? Waltz the winner, De Niro, Hoffman, Tommy Lee Jones, or Alan Arkin?

I only remember nominations, sorry

leo deserves better always especially Oscars

You mean Jonah hill, Christoph waltz?
