It did die for me at that moment but not just for that reason. The biggest reason was the new human faction to get away from..... I want to see zombies in a zombie show. Not, what group of humans will we escape from this season?

Everyone saying it's cannon, it's also cannon that Carol killed herself and Daryl didn't even exist; they deviated plenty from the comics, they could have at least changed his death to be less brutal. Glen's death was like Joel's in The Last of Us 2, a big fuck you to the fans.

The irony is they did a fake out of his death weeks earlier. If they had done it for reals, that would have been shocking and likely kept interests. His death in the show is how it happened in the comics. Negan ruined both. I stopped reading when they reached Alexandria.

It's sad because i used to watch this religiously, even the Reruns. It's so crazy because this particular season is when I actually stop watching. I remember seeing a commercial for The Walking Dead and was surprised It was still on cause it had been so long since I stopped watching.

I realize the show deviated at times from the source material, a comic book, but again I'll emphasize at times. Glenn needed to go for the story to progress. It was more a mistake to kill Carl. I'd argue the trash people were a bigger mistake.

For me it was mostly "how" he was killed off. A bit over the top in my eyes. Never tuned in again.

The show went woke and lost 5million viewers. Everyone turned gay, women took over as leaders, and close up views of people's crying faces with snot running out of their noses. I ended up rooting for the zombies to consume the entire cast.

Tried 4 times over my life to watch this show to the end. Can never get past like season 7/8. Drags on way too much and they got rid of the good cast and replaced them with a DEI cast and tried to make them all gay or race mix with each other. Skipped to the last ep and LMFAO

TWD without glen was lame, and maggie not killing negan as soon she had the chance, was cringy af.

It lost 5 million viewers because AMC started their streaming service the same year so people were naturally leaving cable for it. Hence the low numbers.

I hated it, but it was good film making. But when Rick didn't kill Neagan when Rick finally had him (literally) in his sights, I never watched another episode.

Still the best scene in that show. Andrew Lincolns face alone was a season of Emmys. AMC walked the fuckin line and they delivered. Had a whole new respect for the network for not tonin shit down. They gave it to us so raw it cost 5 million viewers 🤣🤣. Amazing

Why the long face, Glen? I quit watching when Rick got taken in the helicopter, but only because I got divorced and it ruined the whole series for me

Should have ended after 2 seasons. They had a repeated plot, each season a new more evil bad guy. It was boring to watch once you realize was same storyline. Jump the shark when they killed Glenn off.

He was pretty much the only one i liked by that point, so once he got offed i had no reason to stick with it. I think i came back years later and made it to the part they're rebuilding a bridge or something but it was so boring i couldn't keep watching.

I don't think that the problem is that he was killed off, I think it's what was done afterwards with the writing. The comics killed him too in the same way, but the events that transpire afterwards are way different
