There are a good few fingerpickers I like and listen to more than Fahey, but I'm not sure there are any who make me wish I could play like them more than he does.

@tedgioia Mentor to Leo Kottke, recorded LK's 1969 album 6- and 12-String Guitar (in one afternoon). Both brilliant acoustic musicians!

My dad and I have managed to modify our tuning and style of fingerpicking much like Mr. Fahey. Master melodic instrumentalist. 👌🏼☺️

Can’t think of any other player who’d be so “ instantly recognisable” on a steel- strung acoustic.
