Roger Ebert on "The Friends of Eddie Coyle" (1973): "'The Friends of Eddie Coyle' (1973) is not a high-strung gangster film, it doesn’t have a lot of overt excitement in it, and it doesn’t go in for much violence. He gives us a man, invites our sympathy for him, and then watches almost sadly as his time runs out. And “The Friends of Eddie Coyle” works so well because Eddie is played by Robert Mitchum, and Mitchum has perhaps never been better. He has always been one of our best screen actors: sardonic, masculine, quick-witted, but slow to reveal himself. He has never been in an absolutely great film; he doesn’t have masterpieces behind him like Brando or Cary Grant. More than half his films have been conventional action melodramas, and it is a rare summer without at least one movie in which Mitchum wears a sombrero and lights bombs with his cigar. But give him a character and the room to develop it, and what he does is wonderful. Eddie Coyle is made for him: a weary middle-aged man, but tough and proud; a man who has been hurt too often in life not to respect pain; a man who will take chances to protect his own territory." ("The Friends of Eddie Coyle", Roger Ebert, 1973) P.S: On this day, 53 years ago, Peter Yates' "The Friends of Eddie Coyle" (1973) premiered in New York City, USA.

In one of the coolest moments in rock history, Eddie Van Halen stood inside the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History and broke down exactly how he invented his legendary finger-tapping technique. He explained how he stumbled on the idea as a kid — inspired by piano and classical techniques — and later saw Jimmy Page playing with one hand and turned it into the explosive sound that changed guitar forever. Then he plugged in and unleashed “Eruption” live, right there in the museum. Watching Eddie demonstrate the birth of modern tapping in such a historic setting? Pure magic. That two-handed technique went from his bedroom to stadiums worldwide and influenced an entire generation of players. Eddie didn’t just play guitar — he rewrote the rules. One of the greatest innovators rock has ever seen. Rest in power, EVH.

Eddie Jordan has sadly passed away at the age of 76. The inimitable figure left an ever-lasting mark on the motorsport world and our thoughts are with his family and close friends at this sad time. His charismatic personality allowed his very own F1 team — Jordan Grand Prix — to compete in the world championship for over a decade where it scored four victories. At FOS 1997, Jordan proved his ability behind the wheel too, as he tackled the Goodwood Hill in the team's first car: the Jordan 191.

Bobby Van's remarkable “Jumping Dance” where he jumps over 460 times through the streets to the dance number “Take Me to Broadway” in SMALL TOWN GIRL 1953, choreographed by Busby Berkeley. In recent years, “Take Me to Broadway” (also known as the “Jumping Song”) as performed by Bobby Van has been referenced in commercials and music videos, including one for Goldfrapp's song “Happiness”, in which a happy man jumps through the streets, shaking hands with people and playing with garbage can lids. Peter Wolf also recreated the scene in the music video for his 1987 song “Come As You Are”. In the 2014 Tony Awards, Hugh Jackman hopped in his intro and viewed Bobby Van's dance on a TV backstage. The number was featured in Jack Haley Jr.'s 1985 film “That's Dancing!”, a celebration of dance in American film.

The entire story was so bizarre… Derek Chauvin was Stabbed 22 Times by a Man Named John Turscak - Who was allegedly a BLM Member and ex-FBI Informant Turscak, Before his long-term incarceration, he was a high-ranking member and leader in the Mexican Mafia prison gang. He was also (fact) a Federal Informant for the FBI in 97-98, where he helped the FBI with an investigation that took down more than 40 Mexican Mafia members. John Turscak was only 30 months away from getting out after serving 21+ Years. And he did this? The FBI fast tracked the “investigation” and according to the investigators, John Turscak, he waived his Miranda Rights and said he stabbed Chauvin on Black Friday, as a symbolic nod to BLM and the "Black Hand" emblem affiliated with the Mexican Mafia gang. Why is the FBI always somehow oddly associated with horrible events?
