🕯️Remembering Michael Coleman, R.I.P 🕯️ Galway GAA are deeply saddened at the sudden and untimely passing of the former Galway Hurling Captain Michael Coleman of the Abbeyknockmoy HC Club. Michael represented Galway with distinction at Minor, Intermediate and Senior levels. He won an All-Ireland Under 21 Hurling title with... Galway in 1983. He went on to play a starring role at midfield when Galway retained the All-Ireland Senior title against Tipperary in 1988. In an Intercounty career spanning over 10 years, Michael also won three National League Titles including captaining the winning Galway team in 1996. His contribution on the National stage was recognised by his selection on three All-Star hurling teams in 1989, 1990 and 1995. Michael also represented University College Galway in the Fitzgibbon Cup as well as being the star of the St. Jarlath's College team that narrowly lost the Connacht Senior B Post Primary Hurling Final in 1981. Michael took great pride in his club and was an important part of the Abbeyknockmoy team which won the Galway Senior Hurling Championship in 1988. When his playing days were over his commitment to the club was unwavering: serving as mentor, coach and officer over the years. Michael was also active within Báireoirí Na Gaillimhe, a group consisting of former Galway hurlers. Michael was coach with the Leitrim Senior Hurlers when they claimed the Lory Meagher Cup in 2019. Outside of the GAA, Michael was a committed community activist involving himself in many activities within the locality. He will be sorely missed by the Galway GAA community. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with his wife Mary, daughter Sinead and son Dara, his extended family, the Abbeyknockmoy Hurling club and community at this incredibly difficult time. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis Funeral arrangements as follows: Grant me O Lord, a hurler’s skill, With strength of arm and speed of limb Unerring eye for the flying ball And courage to match whate’er befall May my stroke be steady, and my aim be true My actions manly and my misses few No matter what way the game may go May I rest in friendship with every foe When the final whistle for me has blown And I stand at last before God’s judgement throne May the great referee when he calls my name Say, you hurled like a man; you played the game.show more

Paul Clancy, R.I.P It is with tremendous sadness that we heard about the sad and untimely passing of our former double All-Ireland Senior Football winning player and Maigh Cuilinn clubman, Paul Clancy. Paul enjoyed a stellar sporting career with the Galway Senior Footballers. He tasted success five times in the Connacht Football championship in 1998, 2000, 2002, 2003 and 2005. The crowning glory of his senior football career was the winning of the two All-Ireland Senior Football titles with Galway in 1998 and 2001; ending a 32-year famine to return the Sam Maguire Cup to the Tribesmen. As a leader and driving force in his club Cumann Peile Mhaigh Cuilinn, Paul served as Club Chairperson from 2019-2023. During this era, Maigh Cuilinn claimed their first ever Galway Senior Club Football championship title in 2022, this was followed with further success when Maigh Cuilinn added Galway and Connacht senior football titles in 2022. One of his greatest club days as a player was when Maigh Cuilinn captured the All-Ireland Intermediate Football title in 2008. Over the past few years, Paul has contributed to numerous coaching roles. He served as selector with the Galway Senior Football team under Alan Mulholland, the Galway All-Ireland-winning U21 Football team and as a selector with the Laois Senior Football team under Justin McNulty. He has also provided guidance and coaching expertise to several club teams and colleges' football teams. Paul was always readily available to step in and help others on and off the field of play and we are truly indebted to him for his wonderful contribution to the GAA over the past few years. Galway GAA extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife Johanna, children Ellen and Finn, his mother Mary, brother Gearóid, sisters Linda & Ailish, the extended Clancy family, friends, former teammates and the Maigh Cuilinn club community. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis. Maigh Cuilinn

A man won £12,500 at William Hill. When he went to collect the rest of his cash, staff pressed the panic button and called the police on him twice. – In August 2023, Michael placed three bets totalling £2,400 in cash at a William Hill shop in Harrogate. The bets were on two tennis matches and one football game. – All three came in. His total return was approximately £12,500. – He first went to the Starbeck branch. Staff only had £5,500 in the till, so they paid him that amount. Michael even left a £110 tip for the staff. – The next day he went to the Harrogate Spa branch to collect the remaining £6,500+. – Within roughly one minute of asking for his money, a staff member pressed the emergency panic button and called the police. – Officers arrived. One of them told Michael on camera: “He hasn’t got the cash to pay you out.” – Staff tried to force him to accept a bank transfer and hand over personal details. Michael refused, insisting that because he paid in cash he was entitled to be paid in cash. – Police were called a second time during the dispute. Michael filmed both encounters. – He was left with two unpaid betting slips still showing “Good luck!” printed by William Hill. He won the money fair and square with cash bets. The bookmaker’s response was to treat him like a criminal and call the police for trying to collect what he was owed.

By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Angels may the Lord grant us to be protected by them in this mortal life and conducted in the life to come to Heaven. Amen. Say one Our Father in honor of each of the following leading Angels: Saint Michael, Saint Gabriel, Saint Raphael and our Guardian Angel. Concluding prayers: O glorious prince St. Michael, chief and commander of the heavenly hosts, guardian of souls, vanquisher of rebel spirits, servant in the house of the Divine King and our admirable conductor, you who shine with excellence and superhuman virtue deliver us from all evil, who turn to you with confidence and enable us by your gracious protection to serve God more and more faithfully every day. Pray for us, O glorious St. Michael, Prince of the Church of Jesus Christ, that we may be made worthy of His promises. Almighty and Everlasting God, Who, by a prodigy of goodness and a merciful desire for the salvation of all men, has appointed the most glorious Archangel St. Michael Prince of Your Church, make us worthy, we ask You, to be delivered from all our enemies, that none of them may harass us at the hour of death, but that we may be conducted by him into Your Presence. This we ask through the merits of Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen. Chaplet Video:

“Better than winning the lotto” In 2019 as our club stood on the brink of winning a first senior championship in 41 years, Dermot Kerr kindly agreed to help with a piece of filming ahead of the match. It wasn’t his thing, but he was happy to help. He died today. A lovely man, head of one of the pillar families in our town. We won the match that day, he was super proud of his two grandsons, and all his fine family. We’ve all lost a piece of Magherafelt. Thoughts with all the Kerr clan❤️

I have been entrusted with the painful duty by a senior member of our profession to announce to my professional colleagues in Zimbabwe and beyond the passing of Zimbabwean journalist Lewis Machipisa, who died in London today. Lewis and I were classmates at journalism school at the Zimbabwe Institute of Mass Communications. Our paths crossed again at the BBC World Service in 2003 when he moved to London, and I was returning to Zimbabwe. He lived in London until today when he passed on. I am deeply saddened by his passing and extend my condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. May his soul rest in peace.

Please spare a thought for Michael Ward, who was born on this day (yesterday, sorry Michael!) in Carnmenellis, Cornwall in 1909. Michael was the very first actor I plucked up the courage to contact for an interview, way back in April 1989. He’d recently celebrated his 80’s birthday yet was wheelchair bound, had no family and had basically been forgotten about by the industry. As well as getting my interview we became firm friends and I kind of looked after him for the last eight years of his life. Every Sunday I’d arrive at his flat in Maida Vale and take him to my mum’s place where we’d have lunch and watch videos of some of the films he was in. Apart from the odd television repeat I don’t think he’d really seen himself on TV much and as the memories came flooding back he’d reel off story after story. One of my last memories of Michael happened shortly before he died in 1997. He’d decided to grow a beard and when I saw him I said something along the lines of, ‘My word, you look very distinguished’. ‘Surely you mean extinguished,’ he replied.

Message from #LAKA ~ The Incarnation Of Elder IKAI As Jacob “In The Moment Of Remembering The Light Of His Own Soul, Archangel Michael Told Jacob That His Name Would Be Israel Which Meant, 'Let God Prevail’. He Explained That His Children Would Lead In The Creation Of The Tribes To Restore Areas Where People Would Thrive." Podcast YouTube ------- What is “Jacob’s Ladder”? This was a vision shown to Jacob by Pleiadians representing Dimensions and Densities. The ladder was the change in frequencies that starseeds experience when incarnating into duality, and a representation of all the generations that would experience dark and light until the Shift. Did Jacob wrestle an Angel? Jacob was having higher contact, and was also having a major awakening of who he was. This was actually very hard for him to deal with, and it came out as anger and ego. Pleiadians were giving him the vision to help him see the bigger picture and remember his plan. The “angel” that Jacob wrestled was himself – his Higher Self, Ikai. His human ego won the battle and this made Jacob remorseful. At times still felt like Ikai, and this was to bring him back to the story. Details were later added to scriptures in the retelling. The Friendship of Archangel Michael and Elder Ikai #NEIOH - “The First Friendship Known In Creation Was Elder IKAI And The Powerful Archangel Michael. They Traveled Together And Observed The Vastness Of The Ethers Of Nothingness And Traversed Great Areas That Would Be Labeled By Mankind As Galaxies… Archangel Michael Found The Expression Of Long White Hair To Be Appropriate And Desired For His Travels And Expansion. His Close Friend IKAI Found This Way Of Appearance To Be Acceptable As His Friend’s Look… Though IKAI Would Become Elder And Commander Of The Galactic Federation, Archangel Michael Would Serve The Light By Traveling Without A Home. His Visit Became Regular And Frequent On Taygeta And The Visits Continue In This Moment Of Now… The Closeness And Bonding With Elder IKAI Allowed Him To Travel On Missions Of Light And He Is Loved And Honored By All Members Of The Galactic Federation.”

Pat Riley believes Dwyane Wade is in the same class as Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan 🔥 “I say this with all honesty. I’ve watched them, my teams competed against Michael Jordan to the nail, and Kobe to the nail. If you look at Dwyane Wade and his style of play, he was right in that basket of how they played. You know, when he was young and athletic. Big hands, and long arms. What a competitive attitude he had, all 3 of those guys. All 3 of them had the DNA in them. Dwyane was special” Put some respect on Dwyane Wades name.

The real reason why the elites targeted Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson became the most powerful artist in the world; he was bigger than Sony. Sony is owned by the Jewish elites, and Michael was at odds with the Jewish elites for quite a while. Michael Jackson owned the rights to the Beatles and many other prestigious Black artists such as Little Richard. Michael Jackson was the most powerful man in the music business; He exposed Sony they allegedly wanted him out of the way so they could own his masters and also the other artists that he owned. MJ's name was tarnished by false allegations, and then they eventually moved him out the way. Once MJ died, Sony became the owner of his publishing and also everyone else he owned.
