Remembering Oscar Schmidt (1958-2026)

Just as Ayrton Senna and Pelé, he was one of the greatest sportsman of Brazil. We all thank you for those memories.

Thanks NBA, he is our GOAT here in Brazil

Why Unofficial? He counted all his pro games, so it was official, foh with there's only nba in the world. 49 973 points, 42 044 for clubs and 7 693 for Brazil NT, the 2nd most points in Basketball HISTORY only behind LeBron James.

Museum of Italian Basketball in Bologna

Thank you for this beautiful tribute to our greatest pride in basketball.

A great basketball player, a true patriot, and a great man—humble, with a great sense of humor. Rest in peace, Mão Santa! (Oscar’s nickname, it means "Holy Hand" due to his extreme skill and precision in his shots).
