Remembering Ray Galton OBE who passed away #OTD 5 October 2018. With Alan Simpson, he wrote 160 half hours for Hancock, as well as his brilliant film, The Rebel. Ray's favourite Hancock Show was The Bowmans, let's enjoy a clip in his memory.

A rare non-Crackerjack appearance by the great Peter Glaze.

Still the best Archers parody.

“Untutored hams!”

My favourite Hancock. Old Joshua. ‘I got mangles in me wurzels’ peter glaze the dog. Galton and Simpson . The best of the best.

Other people who appeared in that episode were Peter Glaze, Derek Chinnery who became head of Radio 1 and Richard Carpenter who went on to write Catweazle.

“You’re never alone with a pilchard”.

Great episode the Bowmans 🤣

It always surprised me that they were never Knighted. Did they refuse one, or was it never offered?

The changing accent !

‘No froth!’ (from The Rebel I think)

Absolutely brilliant.

And Peter Glaze in Glasses.
