He was definitely a tall figure in politics, representing left views. But I think he was more effective while in opposition, he will surely be missed..

Gand ci.. He justified the fake encounter of Bhai Lachman Singh and his wife Bibi Rani kaur (pregnant) on May 17, 1993 in the Calcutta. He pressurised then CM Basu to release Punjab police team who had killed Singh and his wife. Bloody red-comrade criminal..

#WATCH | Patna, Bihar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah says, "I have come to Patna to attend the Rajya Sabha nominations of Nitin Nabin, Nitish Kumar, Ramnath Thakur, Upendra Kushwaha, and Sudesh Ram. Nitin Nain, after a long and successful political career in the state, became the BJP's National President, and now, through the Rajya Sabha, he will also contribute to Parliament... Today, Nitish Kumar, Bihar's CM, also filed his nomination for the Rajya Sabha. With this, after a long gap, he will once again enter national politics as a Rajya Sabha MP. Nitish Kumar served as CM of Bihar from 2005 until now. His tenure was truly glorious. This tenure will be written as a golden chapter in Bihar's history, shaping the entire gamut of Bihar's development... Throughout his long career as an MLA, MP, Chief Minister, and Union Minister, his kurta was never stained. His entire life was free from corruption charges... For 11 years under PM Modi's leadership, he made a significant contribution to Bihar's progress in every way, and it was under his leadership that all of PM Modi's initiatives reached the people of Bihar... He is once again returning to Delhi as a Rajya Sabha MP. I and all our NDA colleagues heartily welcome him, and his tenure as Chief Minister will always be remembered and respected by the people of Bihar..."

#WATCH | Delhi: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju says, "The Monsoon Session concluded today. We view it from two perspectives. In terms of business, it was a very successful session; we passed a total of 12 bills. However, from the perspective of debate and discussion, it was not as successful. In the Lok Sabha, we achieved only 19% productivity relative to the total time allotted. In the Rajya Sabha, productivity stood at 39%; while opposition parties created a ruckus and occasionally staged walkouts, the majority NDA parties and MPs from some opposition parties participated in the debates and discussions..." He adds, "Only one bill, addressing the issue of paper leaks and unfair means in examinations, underwent a full discussion in the Lok Sabha... The 'Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act' was passed during this session. This legislation was discussed in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha."
